  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

    Heres the thing.
For the first time in about 5 years my income topped six figures. Not by much, but none the less, six figures.

The Feds get their cut. The state gets their cut. Then, every time I buy sumpin, the state gets it's cut.........again.
When I buy gas, both the state and the feds get a cut.

So I took some time and figured out how much I paid in tax last year. You know, income tax, sales tax, use tax, property tax and so on.

It works out to 47.43% of my income.

    So, am I a 1%, a 99%, or sumpin else?

And yeah, I'm getting a refund, so on top of it all I made an interest free loan to the government last year.

But that shit will STOP in 2012.

We have alot of people to thank for all these neat taxes. And we have the same people to thank for mis-spending every penny of it and borrowing more to feed thier habit.

I have long been a supporter of simple taxes. As it stands, the number you claim to have paid in taxes is lower than what you actualy paid. There are many taxes that are stashed away in places nobody ever looks. There is also the fact that businesses pay thier taxes by raising your prices.

It has long been said that there are only two taxpayers in the world...employees and consumers. Simplified taxation would make alot of sense, enabling those who can afford to pay to actualy pay and those who cannot...dont.

There is alot of talk about all those people who pay "nothing" in taxes. They dont exist. Again, there are many taxes that people dont see but they pay. If you spend a dollar, you pay taxes. Poor or not.

Strangely enough, the country worked better and was more prosperous when the top tax rate was 91%.

You pay an estate tax if your estate is worth $5 million or more, on the amount OVER $5 million. Do you think he qualifies? Do you?

With which they build and maintain the roads you drive on. And at current levels, it isn't enough to do that.

I don't know how much I'm paying in taxes yet because we haven't sent it off yet. But what ever it is I'm getting a pretty damn good deal for the amount of Taxes I pay. They keep me safe, they keep me protected, they help keep the water, electricity, and gas coming on every time I want it. I can drive just about anywhere from interstate highways to mountain tops. I don't have to worry too much about the food I eat or the medicines I take. Plus you know everyone gets educated, we don't have men women and kids starving and/or dying in the streets, we've got people working on new medicines and treatments, and we've got people inventing new technologies and new products.

And I've got plenty of money left over for the things I really need and want so like I said I think I get a pretty damn good deal for the amount of taxes I pay.

The enduring legacy of the Reagan administration was to imbue most white Americans with the delusion that they can have the government they want without paying for it.

I agree with Stumbler , well mostly

I get a good deal for my taxes. Not that it could be spent better, it is still good. The complainers just don’t take the time to see what they get or bother to go to government meeting to actually take part in how the money is spent.
The gas, tire and car taxes go to the road fund. I do not think you will find a better system paid for in a more fair way anywhere.
Where I live I get a lot for the money. Things like, fire protection, police protection, a standing military, a library(but a lot to people do not use), education for my children and me. I am the 99%.
I have worked at local governments and heard all the complainers and it is funny but when it came time to work on the budget they never showed up for the 30 to 40 hours of meeting it took to put it together. Funny too but when a project was cut or dropped they were the first to complain.
I have found the American Tax Truths to be:
The only fair tax is the one YOU pay.
The only good programs are the one I use.

No we are going to tax the wealthy to get some of our money back because we had to bail them out to the tune of $13 TRILLION which they pocketed.

Good luck,,but,, if you are truly serious about getting some money back,,you might want to start with the embezzling that Obama has done through his outsourcing of green funds and the $2 billion or so he sent the Petrobras for George Soros,,if you want to do that, I'll pack my bags and go with you....Do you think you can convince Kimi to go along with us?

It works for Scandinavia. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland retain AAA ratings with Standard & Poor's and Moody's, and have public debts that are lower per gross domestic product than the United States. My many criteria all four of them have higher standards of living than the United States.

Green energy is one of our few bright spots right now and in fact we are getting ready to challenge China for unfair trade practices. There's trillions right there.

And the US government didn't send a dime to Petrobras that's just another one of those lies you keep telling Ace.

The only thing you may find monotonous about me is my propensity to post facts that are inconsistent with what you want to believe.

One can gain quite an education by reading my posts. However, to benefit from my wisdom and erudition one must first be willing to abandon misconceptions caused by knowing much less than I do.
