  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Mistakes will be made. However, green energy is the direction we need to be moving in. Because private investors are not coming forward with tons of money, the government needs to supply it.

There is little point in educating you. You lack the mental aptitude to learn.

Since the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980 the rich have looted the country while paying lower taxes.

There is nothing that you could tell me, that would influence my thought process,, other than me proving over and over again that your socialistic utopia does not work well at all.

    Enjoy your day.

You have not responded to my claims about Scandinavian Social Democracy. Why do you think things work so well over there? The thing you reactionaries do not understand is that you no longer have the Soviet Union to serve as a horrible example of socialism. The civilized world is leaving the United States behind, and you are too much of a dufus to notice.

Kimiko, you are slipping! You didn't blame the publicans for this!

Here's the thing. I pay a lot in taxes. I don't mind paying taxes. I look at it as the price one pays to live in this wonderful country.

What I do mind is the waste and fraud that goes on at every level of government. The attitude. i know it intimately; I've worked with bearocraps and politicians at every level of government for most of my adult life. The one common theme I have seen, with far to few exceptions, is A) Get as much as I can as fast as I can B) Spend whatever it takes as long as I can't be blamed or held accountable C) The "public" serve me, I do not serve the public.

I blame the bearocraps and politicians.......on both sides of the aisle.........

But it isn't going to change no matter who lives in the white house. The beaurocraps and politicians have to much vested interest in the status quo.

No you haven't. You just repeat stupid cliches taken from the narrow confines of your dimly lit, and nearly vacant mind.

Except that tax rate was just for show - NOBODY in the 1940's actually paid 91% of their actual income in taxes  There were more ways to avoid (not evade, avoid) taxation back then than there are now. :-|

With the proliferation of trust options out there, only the completely ignoraant and/or accidentally wealthy would leave a $5million+ estate unprotected from the tax man. Many loopholes have been closed, by many remain as open as Paris Hilton's revolving door.

Our tax dollars at work - bombing brown people!

You don't really expect anyone to actually believe this by this time do you? I mean come on. You show none of the required skills or knowledge base to even entertain such a claim.

Here's how you do it. Whether its mom, pop, grandma, grandpa, some uncle or aunt, maybe even complete strangers, all you have to do is get them to sign one piece of paper; a "power of attorney."

Then you transfer all their assets to a trust where you or a relative is the trustee and you or a relative is the beneficiary.

Then you just get the relative that signed the trust slapped into a hospital, and then have them transferred to a nursing home where the state and federal government pays for them while you enjoy their millions.

My pretty rich much older cousin and his county attorney kid showed me that one. The hard way.

An assertion like that should be documented. Even if it is true, the need to find tax dodges gave the government considerably more power over the economic behavior of rich people than it now has. The government could encourage more contributions to charities, and so on.

I'd rather flip that on its head - I'll concede that the top tax rate was in the 90s, and challenge those who claim it was the economic savior of the time to document somebody (even one person) who actually paid 91% of their income in taxes. :-| Good Luck.

Another effect of punitively high tax rates is to push capital to the black market (ever hear of the Cayman Islands?), and/or push investment overseas.

But, since the politicians who control the tax rates sleep right next to the fellas whose lower tax rates help line their re-election pockets, you'd have to be a singular polly-anna to think rates will ever be anywhere near 90% again.

From 1931 to 1936 the top tax rate rose from 25 percent to 79 percent.

    http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxfacts/displayafact.cfm?Docid=213

Already there is growing support for higher taxes on rich people. If the rich keep getting richer while the median income adjusted for inflation continues to decline, I think the demand to soak the rich will be too powerful for politicians to resist.
