I think this one is going to be worth watching but already proves that there's a lot of things we don't know about the pipeline the conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers in congress are trying to ram down our throats.

Stumbler, I know where you are headed, and I have not shied from that line of argument. I responded to it somewhere above, on page one or two.

We are a refined petroleum exporter. Great. But that is a new development, and it is a double-edged sword. One, refined petrol is a major export for lack of anything else, so I would argue that it is faint praise. (But at least heavy arms are no longer our biggest export! ) Second, I would argue that refined petrol is now a net export, because the checkerboard of domestic state and fed-EPA regs mean that it is more profitable to ship refined petrol halfway around the world than it is to sell it here.

People here want to blame political parties, and they want to apologize for the current administration's apparent impasse. I do not care who is at fault. I want it fixed. And call me an optimist if you will, but I believe it can be fixed. Fixing it takes leadership and a strong arm, neither of which we currently have.

How stupid is that. We import close to 50% of our oil from all around the world and right now we've got more drilling running than any other nation in the world. It sure as fuck can't cost them more to deliver oil to refineries in domestic pipelines and domestic tanker trucks than it costs to ship half way around the world.

Only a true intellectual fraud like yourself would even suggest such bullshit speculation.

And people like you like to make up arguments in your own head because you think you can defeat them when you know full well you can't even address their true arguments.

Since we are importing less oil than we have for nearly a decade, since we have already increased domestic production, and since gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel are now our largest exports its obvious we cannot drill our way out of this and in our current state are actually paying the oil companies to gouge us for $4 per gallon gasoline so they can export it to the same countries they exported our jobs to.

Only brainwashed fools can't see the real con game going on here.

But they may catch on because I think the Obama Administration and the Democrats are fixing to go after the speculators on Wall Street which will make them big heroes just in time for the November elections.

PS How come there's no screaming when oil and gas prices go down as they have for the past couple days?
