  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I do not like them, so I do not write them. I am more interested in the emotional aspects of human sexual attraction than the physical aspects.

My two stories could have been shown on prime time television during the 1950's.

To a writer a scene is a scene. It should make no difference if it's a sex scene or a walk in a park scene.

But there is a difference. Part of it is because many of us were raised to think talking about sex is "dirty", which can inhibit expression. Another part is that we want to do it right. Different types of stories require different types of sex scenes. In many tales here, the sex scene is the climax (no pun intended) of the story, so it becomes very important to do it correctly.

Everyone reading here should be old enough to know the mechanics of sex. The challenge here is to write a sex scene that fits with the behavior of the characters to that point and the situation in which they find themselves. If the writer is trying to be original and interesting, it's no walk in the park.

Remind me to never walk with you in a park.
Seriously though, I think it would be more accurate to say that it's like writing a death scene.
You want to evoke certain emotional responses involved with a common human experience without over playing it.
Now of course a walk in the park can be pretty intense if you write it that way, but there's no inherent drama there.

I have no problems in coming up with sex scenes.
I do understand the "words" problem, especially if you are (like me) not a native English speaking person.

Sometimes I have a beautiful line in my head, but for some reason (linguistics of course) it doesn't seem right. So i just change it into the English that I do know.

After much thought I decided to make my two thousandth post on on the same thread I made my first one on. It's interesting to see how many people have come and gone as I read through this thread in only a years time. It is also interesting that the thing that hangs me up the most on my stories now is the subject of discussion that got me started on the forum in the first place.

The most difficult thing about writing a sex story, for me, is to balance the setting with a description of what happens. This together with correct grammar makes for an easy read. I really don't think most people desire reading a poorly written piece just like they probably don't enjoy reading pages of details. It is a delicate act of balance to find the right combination of introduction and descriptive action.

I know what you mean. It can be challenging to avoid sounding repeditive. There are only so many words you can use to mention a person's crotch or other various parts/fluids. Rather than focusing on the "Tab-A into Slot-B" aspect, I try to focus on other things like positions, moods, pacing, excitment level, environment/location, etc. Getting a quickie BJ at home=yawn fest. Getting a quickie BJ somewhere you could get caught=interesting (sometimes).

I get a bit of writer's block when it comes to sex scenes at times and I find myself revisiting that part to tweek it here and there. If it doesn't excite me, then I'm certain the reader won't like it either.

I have many good ideas and many experiences to write about, but I am never happy with the first product. One story I wrote ten years ago and just recently did a final edit and still wished to make changes. But, once you start editing you often have to go through the entire story again. After reading your own story 50 times it gets to be a confused jumble. So, I love writing but it is true labor for me. I do get very hot when writing - enough to keep me going.
So writing a sex scene isn't difficult, but to get it into a story and make it both unique and familiar, descriptive without being verbose, is the rope I try to walk. But edits are the killer for me.

One thing I realized after editing stories for a lot of beginning writers, is their viewpoint is almost strictly visual. I blame this on internet porn. A writer writes what they know. There is nothing else. If most of their sexual knowledge came from a video screen, their mental point of view is visual, to the point of being voyeuristic. Even in first person, the scene plays like someone is standing by the bed doing a play by play broadcast. The other fours senses, touch, taste, smell and sound are neglected. What makes a sex scene real is the blend of all senses, just like it is in real life.
