It's a fallacy. We have been pandering to this ideal for generations but none of us aspire to it. By the end of my first marriage I had experinced only 3 women including my wife. By the beginning of my second marriage over a hundred. I think my second marriage works well and it doesnt hurt that I am now so much more sexually experienced.

*heh* Whats a virgin? The simple fact is that men dont want to marry a woman who has been on everything but the Titanic. The male ego has a hard time dealing with the possibility of a woman being unfailthful or the idea that he wont be the best she ever had. Men spend a lot of time contemplating thier relative abilities as lovers in compairison to other men and the male ego is far more fragile than anyone gives it credit for.

The single biggest reason men are so interested in a womans orgasm is that men calcualte thier own sexual prowess based on thier lovers reaction to what he is doing. Thats why women who dont have an orgasm durring sex will often fake it just to make him feel better and it happens more often than any man would be comfortable knowing. It also brings to mind the question that if she has been with so many guys befor, what is there to stop her from fooling around behind my back? And since statistically women are more likely to cheat than men are, and since sex is easily more accessable to women than men, there is solid evidence that a woman who has been with many partners would be tempted to excersize her ability to obtain sex easily in an effort to satisfy her desires.

Now that only works if she is a young woman because men arent that stupid, but I have known a number of women for whom the answer "three" was in response to how many they had sex with in a single night at a sorority party in their senior year at college. Men feel threatened by women who have had many more partners than they have.

You know, good looking, rides a motorcycle, etc. The guys that chicks are always swooning over. Well, its true, they get laid A LOT more than the average guys. The rest of us will wait patiently for one of these women to get tired of waking up in a strange hotel room with a bunch of strangers and come and find an average guy to settle down with. We are the 80%. The number of women who cheat has been cemented by paternity testing at hospitals revealing that a shockingly large percentage of children born to married couples was fathered by someone who isnt the husband. The AMA found that out quite by accident in the early 1980s when they did a research study in maternity wards. The information was quickly published and then yanked to avoid the uncomfortable consequences of the results. Its also why DNA kits for secretly testing paternity have become a booming industry over the last decade.

This isnt to say men arent complete dogs when it comes to infidelity...it simply means that on average, sex is far more available to women than it is to men. So the male desire to "marry a virgin" is simply a defense mechanism that men hope to use to protect thier extremely fragile egos. And men are more than happy to hear a woman tell him that she has only been with a very few guys befor him and that every ogasm is 100% genuine and he is the best she has ever had. Except for the three guys that pounded her all night long at the sorority party in college. And the guy she met at that concert that was hung like an elephant...and the guy that she met at that bar that fucked her behind the dumpster in the back alley...and the guy that she had that weekend fling with that did that thing she liked so much...and the time she was having cash problems and she had to fuck her landlord for rent...and...

 

being a virgin is not any problem nowadays, quite few socities around the world who cares about virginity any more. i dont understand what is the wisdom behind it. sex is like food when you feel hungry you need to eat, it is a need and need to be satisfied.

I cant imagine why any guy would want to marry a virgin, unless they were particularly religious and a virgin themselves perhaps. I have nothing aganst those who wish to remain celebate till married though.

For me personally I would rather the woman I married were not a virgin and the number of sexual partners would not be an issue. I would make the assumption that she had chosen to marry me above any of the others and that would work for me
