As far as I know, I would say that my sister is married to a "good" man (decent looking, great sex, loving, supportive, provider, wants to build a family together) but she is cheating on him for the past years.
She told me, that she loves her husband, but this other man she is cheating with has something different than her husband.
She told me also, that she feels love for this other man too.

And I think the point is, that everybody, man or woman, is looking for an partner that perfectly fit our needs and pleasures.
If it doesn't fit properly, there is the risk of cheating. It's only based on your self-control.

And yes, I cheated too.
I was cheating my ex-gf because we didn't had sex for 4 years.
I love her (yes, still), that's why I was holding on to the relationship. But my self-control faded, as there was this other girl that was flirting with me and was begging for my dick.

You can only avoid cheating if your true to yourself. Communicate with your partner before your cheating.

 

I believe this to be true. I know in the past when I cheated on my ex, when I wanted a man to fuck, all I had to do was walk up to a stranger in a hotel and àsk him if he wanted to take me to his room.

 

OK the question is why cheat though? Was there certain relationship strains or did you just cheat to cheat?

I think you are kind of right with this. If we are totally honest most men would find it very hard to resist the advances of a gorgeous young woman. Its the just the way we are made, we respond to the visual and we are programmed to seek this kind of opportunity to spread our seed so to speak.

Thankfully in the real world such circumstances rarely occur for the majority of average men and so we do not have to face this temptation.

This is not the same as actively seeking such an opportunity. I would imagine that most men in a good relationship will not be looking to cheat on their partners. I certainly am not looking for such an opportunity.

For women I would imagine it is easier to resist such a temptation. Women respond more to touch than the visual and so there are not going to get so turned on by a new encounter. On a very basic genetic level they also have more to lose from such an encounter. A woman needs a partner who is there to support and protect them through rearing a child. A casual sexual encounter is not going to provide this.

 

There's no such thing as a perfect relationship. If that's what you're seeking, don't get married, because the marriage will be doomed.

 

Just because women have an unfair advantage, owing to the tendency of men on business trips to delegate all major decisions to their penis, doesn't mean it's not cheating.

 

That's why I said it was all about opportunity. You put a man in a situation where he won't get caught, and a willing, attractive woman is available to him...well, there just aren't many men who would pass up the opportunity.

I think both women and men are still animals and to expect us to be with only one person is silly.

I believe people can do it - but I think everyone at some point wants to be with somebody else. I think something having that experience will ground a person to the family they have..but caging them up only makes them want what they aren't getting more.

I know quite few men who have had opportunities to cheat and passed it up. Two of them being my brothers who are head over heels for their wives. The same goes for some of my friends who I know would never cheat.

Until recently I never cheated. Took me to be 35 years old before I cheated. That was only because she cheated on me. I got back at her 5 times over. When I get married. I wont cheat. Period. If it came down to it I would get divorced/seperated first.

It is never so called. It is cheating. Woman will cheat on the nice guy. The guy that takes care of her children while she goes out with (friends) The nice guy that cleans the house and does the cooking and the yard work. The nice guy that gets up for 2am feedings. Does the shoppping and gives her a massage after a long day at work.

The guy that sits and listens to the bitching and complianing. The guy that treats her as an equal. The guy that shows her every day how much her loves her. Then she acts like ahe has done nothing wrong.
