Hell is just in invention designed to terrorize people and pursue them beyond the grave. One might expect it to work on children, but it always amazes me that it seems to work on a lot of adults too.

 

I totally disagree with you - I think Hell is being invited to a chocolateers party and being gagged and bound so you can't actually eat anything :shock:

Absolutely. In hell you will rub shoulders with all who lived prior to Jesus like Plato, Alexander, Socrates and so on and ALL Jews, ALL Muslims, ALL Buddhists, ALL Confucians, ALL Hindus, ALL of those natives like American Indians, and pagan tribes, and Wiccans and so on. Because of difficulties in definition of Christianity, it is entirely likely that the only Church with proper links is the Catholic Church which eliminates ALL protestants and ALL Eastern orthodox. I am sure I missed bunch like Commies and Shintos etc. Hell is going to be pretty crowded but so many famous people. (Note that there is no hell in the Mormon religion so that Romney might be onto a good thing). Best of luck.

 

I don't know how I missed this thread, but the truth is I'm too tired to type out a number of my thoughts, so I'm going to be lazy and post a quote I made in another thread.

i was raised in a southern baptist house... i now believe that there is no faith that is 100 percent right or wrong. who are we to decide what god wants... the christian bible has been edited so many times, theres no telling what it is really suposed to say... and with muslims, the basics are the same with different wording... but honestly, muhammad and jesus both said the same thing... "dont worship me, worship the one who sent me... i dont think all the specifics are necessarily a must... plus they have been altered so many times, who's to know the true wants of god...

Different faiths have different beliefs, however they all focus on some form of a god or supreme being.

Throughout my childhood religion was forced upon me, hence why I probably don't go to church now. My own personal belief on this is that I do believe there is something else after we die, but do I believe in this one supreme being; 'god', once upon a time I did, now I'm just not sure.

I have no problem with people being religious, as long as they don't become fanatical about it and then start commiting unlawful acts in the name of it.
