I'll be totally honest, no one's confidence is perfect (see my thread about flaws for that topic) and even though yes I am very confident for the most part, I wasn't always that way.

As a teenager and young adult I struggled with an eating disorder, did not like myself at all. Was picked on a lot through school, and one day enough was enough. I made the conscious choice to start loving myself and literally every day stood in front of a mirror and made myself find something new that I loved about my body and wouldn't move until I found at least one thing I loved.

Until finally one day I realized there were more things that I loved about myself then I hated. That was a great feeling. That's why I don't mind posting in places like this, and why it doesn't bother me when the occasional person has something unkind to say. That kind of confidence too YEARS to build up, and I did it myself and the ONLY person who can destroy that is me.
