I looked but I cannot find any UK equivalent of sharpton or Jackson, there might be someone but I can't find them. We have government spokespersons on race, we have the Equality and Human Rights (EHR) Commission which I believe is a Quango, but we do not seem to have these partisan spokespersons. Or I could be wrong and just can't find them.

Do Iike Sharpton, I don't know the guy but if he uses his position to create problems and get his face in the media to justify any monies he earns, then I guess I wouldn't like him.

I am going to probably piss some off by saying this but they are far from the same. As far as using extreme measures to further their cause they are similar ... but Jesse Jackson has some redeeming qualities in humanitarian work. Sharpton is simply a waste of skin and is stealing far to much oxygen.

 

He can only do that because the Trayvon Martin case illustrates a serious problem in American culture, one that is worthy of a dialogue.

Sharpton would look more credible if he would advocate waiting for the investigation to complete before organizing marches. He would also impress me more if he put as much effort into black on black violence.

I lived in NY when ole al made that so called case with twanna brawley, He had the city rioting in a short time and the men he accused were put through the ringer and even sued him, but you cannot get water out of a rock.

Now for a serious question, We all know that the democrats and sharpton and crew supposedly care about the poor blacks, if that is the case considering how much money has been thrown at them why are they still in poverty?? Would t not be beneficial for them to set up study places and get the kids out of the cycle of poverty??

That is the reason I know they could give a rats ass about them they use them as their base and that they do well.

 

It seems that the people that do the most for the minorities or poor are the one's you never hear about because they are happy in the shadows of the success of the people that they help and don't want to be recognized ... unlike Al Sharpton.
