Australia has a compulsory voting rule, its actually a civil and/or criminal offence not to vote in any local, state or national election for your own area.

So there is no should/shouldn't debates.... every ones votes, everyone gets to share in the blame of the results.

All bullshit aside ... it pisses me off that people get the ability to have a voice in any election yet they don't take advantage of it in a lot of cases. Fuck around people, go out and vote in your elections. With immigration being what it is in some countries, newly naturalized immigrants vote their own people into positions of power because they out number the others that don't value the right to vote. I'm not saying that that is a bad thing, just that most come from countries where they had no say in their governments and now they can vote freely ... and usually do.

We had one today in Alberta and luckily the current administration was re-elected with a majority government that can make some clear and decisive decisions on political matters concerning this great province that is pretty much the richest in Canada resources wise.

I agree the test would be a good idea. Don't need stupid people voting or people with no common sense. But we also should test those politicians running for office. A lot of them are you there stupider and/or have no common sense. Just look what they keep doing to these country.
