I've used this site a few times and I believe the one thing that it lacks that would make it almost perfect is the ability for us the authors to edit or delete the stories that we post.

 

As for deleting you can have any story removed or thread by asking the mods. An edit feature would be nice especially a few days later when you see something you would like to change.

 

Yea see that involves waiting for the admins and I've personally been waiting quite a while to get them to delete one of my stories. Also any other site gives me the ability to delete and edit whatever I post. (Its the main reason I haven't posted more here)

 

On the main story site I know it takes awhile to be taken down. I am not sure why, but I do agree with you we should have a little more control on our own work.

 

Yea I'm not saying we should be able to just go around deleting everyone's, that would be beyond stupid. I just think we should be able to take care of whatever we post ourselves.

I'm sure most of the admins would LOVE to do more then answer the 50 million e-mails they get every day for people that want to edit or delete their stories. Maybe mine just fell through the cracks, but this would eliminate the problem and give them time to work on other things... like more then two options for the color themes.

Which is an unrelated but serious problem!! Its like I go blind with the black and white or I look at the blue and feel like I'm working on an old mac with a built in keyboard and a 3.5 floppy drive... oh god I just dated myself....ROFL

 

Yes, I agree that we should be allowed to either delete or edit our own stories. I sometimes struggle with mild dyslexia dna often miss the simple little mistakes taht tend to throw poeple off when reading my sotries. I don't want to post any of them until I'm sure that I'll eb able to go back and correct those simple traspnositions which can be easily over looked, even with spell-check. Sometimes, I'll see a slight change in name spelling because spell-check will crooect it without me seeing it and my firends who do my editing are like...."Where did this character somefrom? Is it the same one as so-in-so?"

Yea I used to write like that to, two words helped a lot with forum post: Google Chrome (has an spell check in the browser I can't live without lol)

 

Well I don't know how old you are, but I remember those too. Ahh flash back of Doogie Houser and his little journal entries bring back memories maybe that's why I like the blue background more... LOL

 

That is pretty much the one thing I dislike the most.

Every website has its own problems and limitations, and many of them have censorship that doesn't allow me to post some of my work. Violence is very much frowned upon some places, which eliminates anything set in war-time, any story in which there is a fight, (presumably, even a duel for a fair maiden's hand), let alone anything involving murder or rape, even if the story tells of the consequences for the perpetrator.

But, having the ability to edit or remove your own work would be a welcome change. I proofread the hell out of my stuff, and send my stories to a fellow writer/member, who usually finds a dozen idiotic mistakes and several logistical errors, which I then correct. Another few proofreads, and I post.

And immediately see something wrong.

At this point, the only thing a writer can do it to petition the admins repeatedly. Don't nag, don't be disrespectful, but plead your case.

That's what I did, back in the time of the pedo-witch hunt a while ago. My first stories were a 24-part series, with some characters under the age of eighteen. Then-administrator Nophest made a parting pronouncement, saying that all written content anywhere that contained characters under the age of eighteen was subject to removal, and the writer subject to banning, if a reader hit a special "Report" button. I didn't want to get banned, so I wrote to the admins a couple of times, asking for the removal of content I had posted that apparently was now considered offensive. Eventually, the stories disappeared.

I rewrote some of my stories and email xnxx to remove old owns, but they did nothing, so I reckon we should at least be able to delete works.

 

So does Firefox. I just chose to not the option for that post.

I usually to my writing on Note/WordPad or EditPad, then check with Open Office or Microsoft Office. I have friends I get read them and point out errors as well.

 

Me too, over four weeks since I twice messaged them. Not even a message saying email reveived.

 

Exactly, I messaged them to remove "Beloved Aunt" just a few hours after it was posted because I was re-posting it as "Beloved Aunt Ch.1" Yet as you can see its still up and several of my readers are now upset and confused by this. So my point is it would be MUCH easier to allow us to manage our own work. Especially considering we have that time limit to get it all in the box and click post before the server glitches... There is like a 45 second window to get it in there and perfect when posting a story, I don't think that's enough time, normally it takes me 3-4 tries before I do it fast enough.

 

There are a few sites I have posted on that don't mind the rape, underage, war time, and other such things. Just the ones I use are adultfanfiction.net, fanfiction.net but those are not really meant for these type of real life writings or true stories which is why I was coming here.

 

You would do better to contact a moderator directly and request that the admin remove (whichever of) your stories with links to each, since links are helpful.

Usually, you'll see results within a month thereabouts. Sometimes it happens sooner but not as of late.

 

After re-reading my Biker Girl original stories, i realized i made some errors so re-wrote them, then posted BIKERCHICK as they are reworkings and changed a lot of angles, i emailed adm and now in my profile i have both as nothing has been said or done. Recently i accidently post BIKERCHICK 3 - Suspension by accident, It should have been BIKERCHICK 4, but i hadn't got any feedback from my original problems so i didn't bother contacting them, as its all quiet on the sexstory adm front.

 

Have you tried telling a moderator about it? They talk directly to the admin, so any requests would be heard a bit better.

The email address and sending our admin a message personally is not the best way to get something done.

 

Please note however, that our moderators have ABSOLUTELY NO POWER on the Sex Stories Site, http://stories.xnxx.com/. The three ladies in question, ejls, smcaaphd, and Jamie90, have no more ability to do anything on the Sex Stories Site than you and I do. The only reason to get them involved is to, hopefully, speed your plea to the admins. They DON'T have a direct, open-24/7 line to them, so even our mods don't get immediate answers to questions.

Well I sent an email to the listed site and I'm still waiting for a reply. The problem is my message was from 2010 when I joined.

No, the moderators don't have a direct 24/7 link to the admin but Lemark doesn't check his messages and the email address is unmanned. So the mods are a person's best bet to get something done.

It would be foolish to think that the admin and/or the moderators would work a 24 hour/7 day shift, especially since the latter are volunteers. I mean if someone out there could imply that from what I said, then they might need to send another email to the contact address
