I live in Podunkville, but it's nowhere near as exciting as Whoville though.

 

I liked Vancouver and Victoria, BC. Williamsburg is nice, too.

 

Mother Nature sure didn't miss it during the world series in 1989 and that was enough to scare off a lot of potential visitors since that terrible day.

My dad would've been on the part of the Oakland Nimitz Freeway that collapsed, but he left his work early b/c of the World Series.

 

Lucky for him and his loved one's. I love SFO and have been there many times and a little ground shaking doesn't frighten me for the most part, it's having a building fall on me that kinda worries me.

I love going to Alcatraz when I'm there, something about that place is so haunting but totally interesting. I watch the show Alcatraz because of that. :excited:

Having grown up on the San Andreas faultline, I never felt one earthquake until I moved to Sacramento. And we used to go on a lot of school fieldtrips to San Francisco. I still have family who live in the Bay Area.

 

That fault will trigger a fucking nightmare including some in Canada including these newly founds one's on the west coast.

Two British Columbia fault lines running south of Abbotsford and south of Victoria could potentially cause earthquakes measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, according to a new study released by U.S. seismologists.

Updated seismic hazard maps from the U.S. Geological Survey show the newly discovered, shallow fault lines south of Victoria, along the Olympic peninsula, and in northwest Washington State, south of Abbotsford, could cause earthquakes that would result in severe damage potentially costing billions of dollars.

The hazard maps, a result of decades of research, show that a quake of such magnitude could cause severe damage to the structure of buildings and infrastructure.

Research scientist Dr. John Cassidy with Natural Resources Canada said the new information is valuable in terms of safety standards.

No fun!! There are faultlines all over the US even here which I didn't know about until recently!! and Lake Tahoe is supposed to become ocean front property when California falls into the ocean.

We used to have a consultant who lived on Whidby Island! I hear it's a pretty place.

 

Nice theory sweety but I'm thinking that the wave will wipe out everything that doesn't have a mountain to stop the rush of water ... my bet would be that Colorado is the next west coast. :excited:

Good call on the Formula One sites to visit though. You just gave me a good idea since I've only been to the Canadian, German, Italian, Hungarian and Monaco gran Prix. Quite a list of beautiful places on the list ... except maybe Austin Texas that they added this year.

Nurburgring was dropped though for Hockenheim this year as well.

 

If have returned Nurburgring, I would be glad. Very interesting line. I yet was not on Grand prix, but in 2014 I will go to Sochi, it is not far from my house.

 

That will be cool, I love the Olympics ... we had them here in Calgary in 1988. :excited:

 

I was 9 years old, but I remember looked, worried about our commands, especially figure skating. Soviet Union has received 29 gold medals :wink:

 

It does look beautiful (and interesting). Russian cities are high on my list of future places to visit, starting with St. Petersburg, Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk....

 

This is where I am spending part of my summer this year. Santorini Greece.

 

Delhi was the best city I have visited.

But also Tokyo, London, Monaco, and Sydney were great too.

Vegas is my favorite place in the US.
