Who cares what they call it, how does it effect your life in any way?

 

Actually that is only true in recent times. Each year more and more marriages fail. Comparing them with same sex couples only as of recently gives shaded results. Besides,same sex couples are only living together, not married. Once they are allowed to get married and follow through, you'll see more and more same sex marriages fall apart lol.

 

Uh huh... That's it right there, just because you view it one way your neighbor isn't wrong to view it another way. Yeah, if you're a guy don't marry a guy if you don't approve of it but don't tell someone they're wrong for approving. I suppose we agree on this topic. :shock:

 

My comments were not based on statistics on divorce in the US, they were based on the experiences of our friends and acquaintances.

We live in what is referred to as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt", yet we know many same sex couples in committed relationships. Perhaps this is because we are open minded and do not restrict our social activities to fit some conventional formula.

 

So how does two guys getting married effect your life in anyway?

Whats gonna happen?

The economy gonna crash?

The world gonna end?

Just because your life is miserable you shouldn't impose your shitty beliefs on people who want to be happy, its people like you that fuck up the world for everyone.

WTF?! Gays are not corrupting kids!!! How is it wrong 2 let a kid know (i'm speaking of teens & pre-teens) that being attracted 2 the same sex is ok? I'm bisexual. I started being attracted 2 girls & guys around the same time, but I was taught that it was wrong. I spent my teen yrs fighting depression, sleeping w random guys (i used condoms, btw), trying 2 prove 2 myself that I wasn't "wrong" or "sick".
You say you care about kids...if that's true, why would you object 2 them being taught that gay is ok & give them the chance 2 become confident adults, secure in who they are, & capable of having a fulfilling relationship (it took a lot of work 4 me 2 get 2 that place!)?
I am pro gay marriage.

You need to re-read that quote of mine. What I was pointing out was Empress lainie's quote of leviticus "You so-called Christian fundamentalists......YOU aren't CHRISTIAN at all....You are actually Old Testament Levites."
She is stating that because homosexuality was written in the Old Testament, It no longer applies to recent times. Murder, theft, bestiality, incest, and those smaller laws that you pointed were written at the same time. By her logic, these other laws no longer apply. She took a statement out of context to fit into her point of view. Those laws written in the bible are final! Jesus came down to die for our sins but not nullify those laws. He is there to guide us in God's will. God, Jesus' father, made the laws. Jesus obeys those laws and expects us to as well. Please do not take this as me pushing Christianity on you or anyone. I am simply repeating what the bible says to get my point across about the OP statement. I'm not trying, nor wish to start a religious war or flame. This topic should be kept as light as possible. To you question about those smaller laws. Yes, I agree with them! Do I follow all of them? No! Some of those would be seriously difficult to follow now. I neither agree nor disagree with same sex marriage. It is not for me to judge, nor will I judge! I hope that I have clarified your misunderstanding.

and believe that, amongst other things, raped women should marry their rapist, I'm quite glad for any "offense" I engendered.

I'll just assume that you missed, or skipped over that part, but if you didn't, there's nothing further to be said.

 

There is nothing further to be said cause you are blowing things out of context! You do not have a grasp on the understanding of these laws. From my side, those are God's laws. They are not there for me to judge why. Do not try and bash me because you have another faith or are non religious. You won't win!

 

I would like for someone to explain why homosexuals getting married are responsible for heterosexuals having illegitimate children and divorces.

Unless and until I hear libs start talking seriously about same-sex divorce and which "spouse" is to receive alimony payments from the other one I'll continue to hold that this whole same-sex "marriage" thing is just more liberal bullshit to try to force the acceptance (not tolerance...but acceptance) of homosexuality onto the people. ​
