I'm just wondering because no one really ever says. I've heard some say it's a size 10 or 12 but that seems rather small to be considered "big" but maybe my view is just distorted.

Please give me your idea of BBW by size or weight.

 

BBW is to me what the name originally was: Big Breasted Woman. Only thing that matters in determining a BBW to me is breast size. For a general breast size, I'd say DD or large would be a BBW in my book.

 

Thank you for your input. My understanding was that it stands for Big Beautiful Women so I guess I was speaking more about that versus breast size.

 

To me bbw is a bigger attractive women. A little meat on her bones. There's is no definite size or weight. I don't find huge women attractive at all, but a nice thick bbw who takes care of her self can be very sexy.

 

I suppose it's open to personal interpretation; I would have said size 14 and upwards, but that's just me.

If I were to put a weight on it, i'd say starting around 180lbs-200lbs would be a bbw, but I've always though bbw meant big breasted women. I guess there's big beautiful women as a term as well. I'm fine with both!

 

It really is hard to put a size or weight on what a BBW is. One girl can be short at 5'2 and weigh 180+ pounds and look sexy and another can be tall at 5'10 and weigh 300+ pounds and look sexy.

Like all other girls it all depends how they carry them selves. Slow long as they are not sloppy fat a BBW can be very sexy to me.

 

That is the truth, however I have seen some 280-300 pounders calling themselves BBW, I'm sorry that is morbidley obese.

I DOES refer to 'big, beautiful woman'. When the term 'bbw' came into usage, I NEVER heard it used to describe women who just had big boobs.

In any case, to try and answer your question (in my opinion), BBW would refer to any woman who, when compared to the general standards of society, is significantly overweight (not necessarily obese) for their height.

In other words, if an 'acceptable' (and of course, what is acceptable varies based on personal opinion, and 'society's standards' usually lean toward the 'thinner' rather than 'heavier') weight for a woman who stands 5 feet tall is 90 pounds, a woman who is 105 pounds would NOT be a BBW, but a 5 foot woman who weighed 120 or 130 pounds might be.

Similarly, if a woman was 5'6" and weighed 120 to 150 pounds, she would NOT be, but if she weighed 170 to 190 pounds, she might be.


Also, if a woman stood 6'0 (and I've known a few in this height range) and weighed 160 to 180 pounds, she could carry that easily without being considered a BBW; but if she weighed 200 to 230 pounds, she might be.

Of course, as I said earlier, it is a matter of opinion, taste and judgement, so realistically, one man or woman's opinion of another woman is not always going to be the same. One might look at a woman of 5'8" and 170 pounds and think she is perfect and would scoff at the idea that she would be a BBW. Another (who preferred rail-thin models) might think a 5'8" woman that weighed more than 110 pounds was grossly overweight.

You could have a swing of scores of pounds.

The only thing I would say in my opinion is that the morbidly obese are not BBWs because the 'beautiful' tends to be eliminated. No matter what your height, once a person gets 100, 150, 200 pounds OVERWEIGHT, the charm is way lost.

The first B, for Big, is subjective -- a matter of taste. The second B, for Beautiful, is too. I'm not going to go into an explanation of the W.

You sound like you want a spec sheet, and in my mind that doesn't exist. Bigness is relative, as explained by a couple of other guys. For some, any curves at all make a woman big. For others, anything that doesn't require reinforcing the bed frame is NOT big.

Beauty is a matter of the way in which a woman carries and presents herself. While, historically, I've always been drawn to slender (even skinny) women, I've matured to the point that I find myself judging a woman's attractiveness based on her "presentation." If you weigh over 300 lbs. and have 2" deep cellulite dimples on your unwashed thighs, you're going to have trouble scoring a lot of points with me. However, if you're a skinny little thing who doesn't take care of herself, I won't find you attractive either.

A larger-figured woman who dresses to accentuate the positive, who takes the time to have her hair and clothing looking good, who knows how to use make-up tastefully (and knows when enough is enough!) should feel good about herself. If she does, and she lets it show, she will be beautiful. That beautiful attitude will continue after she takes her figure-flattering clothes off.

I've seen enough pics of you, dear Christina2706, to feel that you aren't nearly big enough to qualify for the title "BBW", but you certainly are attractive enough and well-presented enough to qualify for the title of "beautiful woman."

If a guy can't handle you the way you are, you need to find different guys to look at you.
