There heaps of things America has given the world:

Disneyland. How many billion prople all round the world have loved watching Disney Cartoons and other movies? Or been to or dreamed of going to Disneyland. For many children with a terminal condition it is the one item on their bucket list.

Harley Davidson Motor bikes. Not as snazzy as a Ducati or the latest Suzuki?
Guess which one the guys all want to own? The Honda Goldwing tries to mimic it, but it aint a hog.

Corvette, Mustang and Camaro: these are the cars we still drool over. Men go to the States just to find one of these. Yes a Lamborghini, or a Ferrari or a Porche might be better but these babies had it and still do.

Western Movies: so many great ones.

And there's more; they mightn't have to have invented something but so often they have taken it to the standard we take for granted now.

Richard Pearse was the first man to achieve controlled powered flight but his achievement led no where; the world took to the skies because of the exploits of the Wright Brothers at Kitty hawk.

 

I hate Disney with a passion.
If I want to ride I will always go for a Ducatti Monster over a Harley.
The Corvettte, Mustang and Camero were all great in a straight line but show them a bend and they would bite your arse.
There is more to life than Western Movies and their time is past all the tales are told.

The Harley may be a nice bike but I do not like that style of bike.

The A-10 is just about the greatest plane/ thing you could build to strike fear into the hearts of your enemy. The gun on the A-10 fires depleted uranium ammunition and destroys pretty much anything you fire it at.

The sound it makes sends shivers down my spine. It is probably the most useful aircraft in service today.
