I had several panic attacks throughout highschool, and had to go to the ER on more than one occasion. They can be scary, especially when you feel like you can't catch your breathe.

Whats a panic attack? I once cut my left hand and lost a lot of blood. I remember feeling mu vision blur and heart "thumping " in my chest. Was plain weird.

Luckily they always happened when I was at home and if I did feel one coming on, I went to my room to hide it. I finally told my mom and she made me go to the doctor and I think it was just stemmed from my severe depression/suicidal thoughts/actions.

I have panic attacks often

I try smoking weed(but sometimes think i get so paranoid ill throw myself into a panic attack); Xanax is probably the best thing out there. I have high blood pressure issues in my family, for the most part i self medicate myself and avoided having these attacks. Sometimes the slightest things get my hands shaking and me thinking unclear, Fucking sucks.

then my guess is that they are more anxiety attacks than panic. they have a similar physical reaction but come from a different mindset.

the best advice that I can give is to have someone to talk to about them. It doesn't have to be a therapist - although I have spoken to people that find the objectivity of therapy to be helpful - but someone you can be unfiltered with. (unfiltered: no restraints on language/topic/social group/opinions, etc)

I probably would recommend someone that can give you hugs. :excited:


There are prescription drugs you can take, valium is awesome, but having someone to vent to helps me balance out my own head shit a lot.

Isn't that a problem? She can't get hugs, therefore she gets anxiety attacks. You recommend hugs.... A bit cruel, don't you think?

I don't know her intimately enough to know if she has someone who can give her hugs or not... You will understand though that people get anxiety attacks for all sorts of reasons, not necessarily just because they have a lack of physical contact.

It was just a thought.. my apologies to OC though if I touched on a sore point.

 

It's ok, she's used to it now, I think. Rejection after rejection just wears her down. So she disappears now and then, recharges her batteries I think.
Then she comes back for more. Glutton for punishment seemingly. A sado- masochism thing.

Find a good acupuncturist. Try six sessions. They should go away.
