A gun is like hammer or a wrench, a knife or an axe. They can be used properly or they can be misused. A human being is far more dangerous than any of those.

 

The gun doesn't kill the person behind it does.

 

We must not ever do background checks of the people purchasing guns. This would require getting some form of I.D. from the purchaser. That would be unacceptable. If we can't check the I.D. of a voter out of fear that doing so might discriminate against minorities or migrant workers, then we certainly can't ask for the I.D. of someone simply excercising their Constitutional rights.

 

BTW the 2nd Amendment doesn't give anyone the right to kill others. You know why the Japanese never attacked the main land US in WW2? It's because our right to bare arms means there would be a gun behind every blade of grass to protect the country.

Knives can be used to kill, in fact for a long time, bladed weaponry was considered to be top of the line, cutting edge technology (forgive the pun). An axe, as a bladed weapon, was also used throughout the ages, in war. Wrenches can be used as a blunt object to bash someone's skull in.

The gun is made to kill things, and sometimes it is necessary to take a life so that you can live. And of course there are those who will abuse it's power just for the hell of it.

Just because they have CCP's doesn't mean those with a CCP can bring their weapon in every building. I hold a CCP in 6 states and most states honor the other states but there are many places I can bring my 10mm and yeah if I had been there and had my pistol on me he would not have got another shot off. I haven't missed a shot in 12 years while in the Marines I was a Scout Sniper which ment I was a rifle expert and I was also a pistol expert. I've been using weapons sence I was 6 years old by the time I was 9 I could clean a AR15 in under 2 minutes in military fashion.
In all my 25 years the only time I've killed a human was in combat and they all had guns too.

 

My house has wooden floors, a vacuum is useless to me. The gunpowder in a bullet can be used to start a fire, the actual gun can be used to kill an animal so you can eat it, and the report from a gunshot can alert others where you are.

Sorry nymphette, the issue that occurred in Aurora, CO today wasn't due to the mechanism of death( guns), the same outcome could have been achieved with a couple pipe bombs. The issue is the unstable individual behind the trigger, or the axe handle, or knife hilt.
