Very True, I love my 1911's none of them are Colts but my favorite is a very rare IAI 10mm 1911 Javelina Longslide. If you haven't noticed I have a thing for 10mm's.

 

Been looking at a springfield 1911. They just cost a arm and a leg. But in the same hand i have been very pleased with my xdm.

Been wanting one of those for awhile. Had a chance to shoot the Colt version a few years ago and liked it alot. So instaed of going to the range with that, I go with this...

Hungarian M44 Mosin Nagant carbine, 7.62x54 with bayonet

This is by far the least expensive gun I own.($65) Was a christmas gift from my wife about 7 years ago. This thing packs a punch, hiding behind a car or a vest is not gonna work. My shooting skills (or lack there of) allow me to shoot fairly accurately to 300 yds, the farthest range around here. Probably around 1500 rounds with no problems so far.

 

Not bad. I wish we had a range around my area longer than 100yards. Y'all ever do any skeet shooting?

 

Only problem with them big toys are they cost a lot to shoot. Ammo needs to go down! I reload my own pistol ammo. Saves a good bit of change

 

I have one very nice pistol I have about 460 rounds through it without any problems. I've been very lucky I never had to worry about cost because I work for haliburton. Just semi retired last week. I live mostly off the land and my land,house and cabins are paid for and my dad left my a nice chunck of change when he died so I figured I only need to work 6 months a year so I don't get bored and have a little extra money for electricity,dating and internet.

 

I live on the old family farm so I can do .50cal shoots anytime with my M82. I love skeet shoots great practice for phesant season. I reload almost everything but keep a large surplus of Russian ammo on hand in the wood crates.

Yeah my shooting has gone way down over the years due to pricing. It wasn't so bad before, could usually get good surplus deals at the gun shows. And for that one in paticular it was old Russian stuff that came in a metal sardine like can with an opener.

Skeet shooting you say? I do own 2 shotguns (pics coming later) but, I cant shoot clay pigeons for shit. Need to practice more I guess. Only luck I've ever had is when they launch em rolling on the ground. Used to go to a club that would have you practice on those pretending they were small game. At the end of the season if you qualifed you got the chance to shoot at pheasants & rabbits that they would release.

 

Iv done the skeet a few times. Did alright I guess hit about 80% of my targets. I would love to go shoot pheasants. Tried the duck hunting when I was about 12. But back then I couldn't hit the side of a barn with a gun lol

 

I don't have any pics but my carry is a Ruger LC9, for the range I use my S&W 686 .357 revolver (love that gun) and a Kimber 1911 - Eclipse Custom II.

 

Well thank you! But I paid the price for it. After loosing my grandpa a WW2 and Korean war Marine Vet while in Iraq I lost my dad a Vietnam and Granada Marine Vet 3 years later while in Afghanistan both I never got to see burried. (they were all I had after my mom walked out) After over 5 years as a Marine 4 of which I spent in combat zones I walked away with around a dozen medals 3 bullets in my left arm and no right leg from the knee down. Being well off always, always comes with a price.

Nah, It's OK they could have faught if they wanted and stayed around longer. They knew that they were leaving me set for life and that I'd be able to take care of myself. Sorry for the sob storey it's just hard to get over when people think I had it easy.

 

Yes I do everywhere I can. Sometimes I carry more than one. MN is open carry so a lot of times I don't even need my CCP I just wear the gun for all to see. I don't leave the property much anymore though. If you do carry every day change out your ammo once a week.

 

I don't right now, just like shy I don't leave the house much. I have been thinking about it though. My dad and several of my friends carry everyday & when I'm out they are usually there so it's not really needed right now. I will eventually, just not sure when.

 

Why would you change the ammo? Guessing with the weather and everything to make sure the rounds fire when needed
