    You can now get verified on forum.

    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

    Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

    You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

    Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials haven’t been sharing that idea with us as they press for our Congress to adopt the McCain-Kennedy immigration reform bill.

    That’s too bad, because Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

    At a time when the Supreme Court and many politicians seek to bring American law in line with foreign legal norms, it’s noteworthy that nobody has argued that the U.S. look at how Mexico deals with immigration and what it might teach us about how best to solve

    our illegal immigration problem. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
    • in the country legally;
    • have the means to sustain themselves economically;
    • not destined to be burdens on society;
    • of economic and social benefit to society;
    • of good character and have no criminal records; and
    • contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
    The law also ensures that:
    • immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
    • foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
    • foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
    • foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
    • foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
    • those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
    Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens — and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or

    General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country’s immigration policy.
    I

    t is an interesting law — and one that should cause us all to ask, Why is our great southern neighbor pushing us to water down our own immigration laws and policies, when its own immigration restrictions are the toughest on the continent?

    If a felony is a
    crime punishable by more than one year in prison, then Mexican law makes it a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

    If the United States adopted such statutes, Mexico no doubt would denounce it as a manifestation of American racism and bigotry.

    it should be a felony in texas to allow any level of aid to any illegal alien

    prosecute the employers to hell and back for employing them
    prosecute the apartment and home owners who rent to them
    prosecute the people that smuggle them in
    prosecute the bleeding heart assholes that give them water and food along the way
    prosecute the people that give them medical care

    there are legal ways of getting here
    there should be a law stating that they must speak, read, write, and understand english

    and thats just a starting point
    but what do you expect when the governor is a pussy

    Getting in the USA legally is very hard. I tried to get a friend I met over seas into the states even sponsered her. Everything was going great had the visa apporved and everything. But when she arived at LAX they wouldn't allow her to stay in the country. They did allow me to see her but I was out thousands of dollars from filling the paperwork in both countries plus the plane tickets. I'm not promoting illegal imigration just saying it has become very very hard to get into the US lagally in the last 10 years.

    certain checks are made to provide clearance and they are stringent in form and cost but those tend to be bases on the old iron block regions and not on mexico

    i have a friend that married a woman he met while on vacation in romania and found that it was easier and less costly to go through canada and pay for an apartment and living expenses until canadian citizenship was granted and proven before remarrying her and attempting to get citizenship in america

    the main issue in the granting of visas is the ideal of international crime syndicates that will pay a woman to marry a man in the us become a citizen and then rejion the cartel
    its based on coldwar era fears and seems to be outdated but remains as the policy of choice for now

    Yeah the sad part is Americans are the only ones from the cold war that felt the other country was a enemy. The soviet people never thought that in fact they are some of the friendliest I've met.

    International students and their dependents contributed more than $20 billion to the U.S.economy last year as record numbers of foreigners enrolled in U.S. colleges and universities, reports to be released today show.

    The number of international students at U.S. colleges and universities rose 4.7% to 723,277 during the 2010-11 academic year, says an annual report by the Institute of International Education (IIE), which has tracked data since 1949.

    That is a significant contribution to the US economy. The US schools providing pre-college education aren't preparing kids for college level science and engineering courses.

    Some teachers can't teach, parents don't provide structure at home, kids take the easy way out, ..., and for whatever other reasons people want to add the pre-college education has become subpar to that of certain other countries.

    The people may not have thought so but since America represented a threat to their power the Soviet government saw us as a threat. They believed in military expansionism at that time we did not. Well look now at who's being the military expansionists.

    Let's talk about the Soviet government, do you know what happened? Communism fell because the government went broke. Now you, DL (totally out to lunch) believe that increasing the size of the government and levying more taxes and increasing handouts are going to get things back on track. How so? Please don't answer me with a quote regarding FDR from a 6th grade social studies or history book either. :rolleyes:

    ya the most surefire way to get illegal immigrants out of the country is to put them in jail. we should definitely look to mexico to solve these complex issues, given their rampant success with keeping all those central and south americans out.

    ya i know, its so easy to come into the us legally... why can't they follow the rules? its just so easy to do. we should treat them like jews in wwii, just kill all and kill all they associate with. best way to solve the problem.

    and your right, english is our national language.... should be illegal to speak anything else!

    After 9/11 Osama bin Laden said that the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan bankrupted the Soviet Union and lead to the fall of the Soviet Union. He said that the American occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq would have the same effect on the United States. So far it seems to be having that effect.

    As far as big government is concerned, the Scandinavians pay higher taxes than Americans.

    I rather think that Reagan went in for expanding the military during the 80s, plenty of new equipment for your soldiers to play with, from boots right through to weapons systems.

    That is typical of your responses. Strong emotions but no facts or insights.

    The point I made, and documented, is that the Scandinavian countries have more entitlements, and less public debt. What American reactionaries say does not work, or cannot work, works well in Scandinavia.

    The Soviet Union went bankrupt in 1991 NOT 2001, Dumbass.

    The popular conception in the West of the fall of the Soviet Union is that they tried to keep up with the US in terms of spending and production, especially defense expenditures, and that because of their inefficient Commie economic structure they couldn't keep pace with the US and drove themselves into "bankruptcy". Thus the Soviet Union was defeated by capitalism.
