You can only be shamed if you let yourself be so. Shame is a societal construct and there is no shame in making yourself and someone else very happy. He is 17 now as you said, the age of consent varies from state to state so he may in fact be legal. I've said before, do what you feel is best one way or the other, but don't torture yourself.

My Step son is a serious athlete and plays hockey at a high level. He brings his friends from the team over and I get surrounded by a group of seriously healthy and good looking young men who are in the 16-18 age group.

Trust me... I have looked and I have thought about it. Only from fun point of view.

I would not act on it simply because of the incredible ramifications it could have in his peer group and I don't want the poor young man to get emotionally attached and mess up his future in hockey, or bruise his poor heart.

The fact that I am married has it's place in the decision too. lol.

Very sweet, gentlemen. But, I don't tease them. I'm just a regular mom. I don't stop my son for having his friends over. I am at work for 14-16 hours a day anyway.
