That's what I afraid off. Lol

I locked myself away for the last year. Scared to go out. Just I case I run into her. FML.

mines lasted for forty years, i've found someone else you will also.

 

Been there...bit my story has a happy ending. Fell in love with this girl in highschool and after i gaduated i didnt see her again. Thought about her constantly for the next 7 years. Wouldn't even give another woman the time of day. One day i was on my lunch break, ran into her at a chinese buffet. We are now married with 3 kids and coming up on our 6th anniversary this month.

there was a girl in high school jerked off to thoughts of her every night. never got the balls to talk to her though. she was way out of my league. shit sucked.

 

I've been at that position and have learned the best thing to do is to focus on what you're passionate about. And if you don't have one? Find it. It is a perfect time to contemplate and discover who you really are. These are heavy truths, but they're what kept me going, I know it can be hard.

 

Love is fantastic when you're IN it and its being reciprocated, but it sucks balls like no other when you're cut off. I can say that my work performance suffered for about 2 years haha. It's a shame spurned lovers can't all get together and commiserate separately from the "casually" horny crowd. I'd imagine two people chasing that total romantic high would get on a lot better than two people just chasing an orgasm.

But isn't it interesting how some people can just trigger all the brains neurons and drive you crazy? I think people can key themselves biologically to one another somehow ( and then you're really fucked if it can't play out ).

Happens to me all the time. The sooner you move on the sooner you'll find someone else to swoon over and be unable to go out with.

 

Nope, never have. I truely believe I'm incapable of loving like you guys are talking about. I have realy liked all the women I've been with, but shed not one tear when it was over. That being the case with the ones I've been with, I've never felt love for someone I could not have.

 

There was one. A girl I sort of grew up with .. not really but she was in the town I had lived the longest in (I was a USAF brat). She was in my art class as a high school student .. her and I had become really good friends. But just that, friends. We kept in contact when I went in the military and even after I got out. But all along I loved her really ..

We never got together because when she was in college and I was in the air force (I had just graduated tech school) she had a car accident. It paralyzed her from the hip down . Truth to be told, I loved her regardless. Just as I had always known, she had that fighting spirit, and fought to regain her legs but had to use crutches. She was an awesome and beautiful woman. But even in all of that she always kept me distant after the accident. I visited her many times on leave. A lot of guys went to party on leave I was out on the town with her. But she never let me in.

After I came to realization that she was always going to be my friend but never any more than that I settled in that and was just happy to have her in my life. It took me YEARS to move on. I played, I partied, I drank, but she was always in the back of my thoughts.

Yeah you get over it but it really isn’t easy.

 

Yeah I know this feeling too well? No matter what I do or where am I, she pops into my mind and put me into a funk.

 

I have and it sucks so bad. It was something that was never going to work out but I still loved him so much and I wish that we had just stayed friends and went as far as we did. He got a girlfriend and afterwards the friendship just died and we are no longer speaking. I miss him and he still pops in my mind from time to time. In time it gets better but I won't lie the recovery time seems like it takes forever.

Well, I must admit I never heard this from a girls POV. I think alot of guys feel that women never experience this.

Dont ever tell them either! Honestly bro thats the worst thing a guy can do, is to tell a girl (im straight so I am using girl as a reference point) they love but they cant have, that they love them. Because in most of these instances, the girl is already holding the guy hostage and the last thing you want is to let someone who has this kind of power over you, think they have that power over you. I know from experience!!!

 

You think you've been in love before, and then a girl comes along that lets you know you've never experienced true love.

I never saw it coming. She is way too young for me. But we are friends, and I've spent more time with her(sports and stuff) than people in my own family.

Its been 5 years. She shows no attraction towards me, but she keeps spending time around me. I think about and miss her every day. While having sex with a date, I've caught myself looking forward to a group dinner with her the next night.

I want to tell her that I love her so bad, but I know that will push her away. The thought of life without her scares the hell out of me. No matter how she feels, I will love her til the day I die. I can't stop.

 

Wait, I don't understand. So does this girl know you want her.. you gave no indications that she's not interested in you.
