So what I got is men aren't really "nice guys". You want that young, self absorbed girl instead of a slightly older, but completely trust worthy and faithful woman. Well then go for your teeny boppers, fall hard and get used and dumped.

This thread makes me thankful I have a good guy that loved me at 22 and loves me more at 42.

I don't think that I'm a nice guy and have never pretended to be any different, in real life or online.

I do think that many women are exactly the same, I know a few men that have been dumped and left with kids.

I don't but I have more demons than the bad boys. I love dating older women they have class,muturity (personality wise),they have life experience,they enjoy the fact I'd rather do the cooking and cleaning and let them sit with their feet up. They like the fact I don't give a shit what game's on TV because I'm not interested in it. They like the fact that I have a job (even though I don't need one) and the fact I have my own house, vehicals. A woman having a kid is by no means a deal breaker.

I get the same impression as well.

 

I noticed how nobody answered "where do you hang out" to socialize/ meet these supposed women that dismiss you...

Obviously I don't want specifics, just an overall gist:

The dog park walking my dog
The grocery store
The night clubs
The local bar
A higher end bar
Sporting events
Adult Ed classes


So am I to assume since no one answered, you in fact stay home, in which case you're complaining for nothing or you stalk the teenie boppers at the under 21 clubs....?

 

I think many men would much rather go for a younger/self absorbed girl for a fling, and maybe it's ego and/or social assumptions based on status that drive these men to pursue a less mature woman. However, it's a very bold generalization to say that men aren't really nice guys. Obviously people aren't nice regarding every facet of their lives, but I think there are a lot of nice guys out there that just can't catch a break.

Granted, I'm no saint myself, but generally speaking I am a "nice guy." I've addressed girls my own age as well as older women, I've appeared at clubs as well as parks, and I've conversed with a myriad of differing women despite my inclination towards shyness. I am not insulting nor hideous and women often say I'm a sweet guy who is fun to be around. Through all of this I have yet to have any luck with the opposite sex, whether that be for a relationship or a fling.

Maybe it's because the right combination of actions haven't occurred yet for me to successfully be with a woman. Maybe there is a decreasing number of nice guys when most of what we see are assholes and douchebags getting both the self absorbed girls and the faithful women, enticing guys to act the same. But trust me when I say there are nice guys out there, we're just tougher to notice.

I have far to much to do to be bothered with sending PMs to my friends asking them to insult you etc,

1. I have to empty the bins,

Thanks for all the input. I have come to realize what flaws I have and that all that can really be done is for me to adjust who I am and hope I find someone. "good guys" may not always come first but it is not the girls fault or even the "assholes" fault. It is their job to try and make it so they don't finish last.

 

With women, as with life in general, it is a good idea to know when hard work will make a difference, and when it will not. No woman ever rejected me because I was too nice. Women have rejected me because they were more desirable than what I had the right to expect to be able to attract, considering what I had to offer in terms of looks and professional success.

Realizing that was not good for my self image. Accepting it was good for my mental health, and relieved me of bitterness I had felt earlier. :idea:

 

even ugly, poor guys can attract beautiful women. Sometimes relationships are just matter of grace...

I think having the viewpoint that no woman "has to" love me is best for one's mental health.
