So I'm weighing in...

The guy I loved most is a nice guy. Truly a great person. We split up four years ago and I STILL think he's one of the best people I've ever met. He didn't have money when we met, he wasn't stunningly handsome, but he was a great guy, and for the last six years he's been my best friend. (He ended the relationship for personal reasons.)

As for TheGentleman: You're like every other guy I've known who's said "I'm a nice guy". No, you're actually not. Sitting and listening to a girl talk about her problems all night isn't "nice" if all you're thinking about is fucking her. Girls aren't machines that you put friendship credits into until they fuck you.

Nice guys make their intentions clear, they're open and honest, they care and listen too. Not nice guys tell you they want to be friends, act like your friend, but do it just to have sex with you.

If you act like a friend, expect to be treated like one. If you want more, you have to speak up.

 

Thanks for the advice. I'm sorry to hear about your break up. It really must have been painful. If it makes you feel any better, I feel like a real jerk sometimes. :\'( I know that I post a lot of outrageous and mean things. But I don't really mean them. It's just how I deal with the pain of having women laugh in my face all day.

As for being a woman's friend and listening to her problems, I have done that. I consoled a woman a few years ago after her husband cheated on her. I talked to her for hours on the phone. I told her that she had a right to be upset. I even made her laugh several times with some humor. I cheered her up when she needed it the most. I told her how beautiful she was, even though she was only average looking. After all of that, the bitch still wouldn't let me fuck her. I didn't even get a blow job. She told me that I was a nice guy and that she just wanted to be friends. The kiss of death. :\'( She went back to her cheating bastard husband. All I got out of the deal were blue balls. :\'( I don't regret the time I spent with her though. I'm not bitter about it. She was a nice woman. It made me feel good about myself knowing that I made her feel better. So you see, I really am a nice guy. I just don't always show it.
