What does the average man want in a woman? I can't speak for all men. So I will just give you a list of what I believe most men look for in an ideal women.

3.) She is employed.

4.) She is physically fit.

7.) She is disease free.

8.) She is kind.

9.) She has a nice personality.

What about women who won't date me? Are they being too picky? Or do they just have standards? Having standards is not unreasonable. As long as the person is realistic. Most of the things on that list are perfectly reasonable.

 

Let's not confuse who nice guys are.

The nice guys the op is talking about are the weird guys and the guys with no confidence. Those guys aren't nice, they just don't have anything else to show for there behavior so they use the nice card as a ruse to explain there no-pussy getting selves.

 

Actually I, among many others, consider myself a nice guy.
Am I socially awkward? At times I can be, but I don't know anyone who has charm and charisma just coming out of their ass during every given situation.
You may be surprised that, under the right circumstances, that "weird" guy you met somewhere along the line can actually be pretty outgoing and affable.
The same applies to confidence. I can be pretty confident regarding a myriad of situations and be just as uncertain at others. Put me in a gym or an octagon and I'd be fearless enough you would think I was raised in one. Put me in a math class or a knitting club and I become an awkward, fumbling buffoon.
And while women on here have talked about wanting a nice guy (which I have no reason to doubt) let's look at it solely based on the attention given. Though women (and men) have responded to guys that have written cordially, they've also responded to certain individuals who have been less than such. However whom among them have been given more attention; the "nice" guys or the "assholes"?

They seem to every time at least does to me.

 

I was the nice guy for all of my high school and 3/4 of my college years, and I got absolutely nothing in return other than "lets just be friends."

I have been able to amount some teasing to one girl I'm interested in at work. Now that the summer is getting over, one or two dates with could get me what I want, a relationship with a great girl. Then I might be able to turn her into my woman.

Here is some advice to nice guys:

Nice guys never finish last, but:
1) might get fired for not wanting to do their job.
2) never socialize because they don't want to do anything
3) might get fat because they are too lazy make healthy food

If you are a nice guy and want to get a girlfriend, you have to want to have a girlfriend or you are just insane. Get a reality check, grow some balls, and know what you want. Woman are not goddesses, they are humans and you shouldn't think of them anything as high as that. Learn how to make fun of them over the stuff they do and tease them, and you may just have a chance.

 

My situation isn't that I'm mad because I'm not getting any my situation is that whenever I meet a really great girl that I would want a relationship with I end up finding out that she is already in one. I don't expecting her to dump the guy shes with (whether he's an asshole or not) and I continue to talk with her just because I enjoy her company. Eventually they break up and I'm still around but at this point she sees me as a friend and nothing more.

If I really wanted to be an asshole to get girls I would be but I have more self respect knowing that I'm being a gentleman to ladies. Yes maybe poking fun from time to time always in jest but that's just flirting. Would much rather be the guy that people like to be around then the guy who nobody can stand.

So i guess what I'm saying is that I'm a "nice guy" and proud of it. Not going to become something I don't want to be just to pick up chicks. I've come to realize this since I originally posted this and would like to thank everyone for the input but I think I'm gonna just let it be for now.
