if you follow the current line of conservative "thinking", it does. haven't you heard them howl about "anchor babies"? or how just being born in the US of A shouldn't make you a citizen if your parents came here illegally? I mean if they want to apply that logic to current illegals, why not do the same to all illegals? or isn't that "fair"?

the Indians were here, they occupied this land, it was their land, and the Europeans invaded it. should the fact that they were able to conquer the rightful owners give them the right to set up laws to make it illegal for other people to come here? seems like a serious double standard to me.

 

Well, first of all it isn't the line of "conservative thinking" it's the line of some whack jobs that liberals love to quote to show how insensitive conservatives are.

If I had the power I would;
1) Make it policy that illegal immigrants could get no public services except emergency care.
2) When found, Illegals would be deported. If they had children in the US who are citizens, they would have to make a choice; take em or abandon them here. I'd gladly take them. And if the choice was to hard for the family to make, the kids would stay and the parents go.
3) I would provide a way for illegals here now to become citizens. They would have to plead guilty to violating our laws, pay a SERIOUS fine and clear a background check. Law violators or those already deported once would not be able to apply.
4) I would revisit current immigration law. I hear a lot of yapping about how corrupt and unfair it is, but can't find any concrete issues that don't start with "look at this sad case"

The bottom line is, without secure borders we are at risk. Those misguided people who think they "owe" illegals something-anything-are not patriots. They are bleeding hearts.

Boot the illegals out, make room for the legal immigrants.

I don't speak English...I speak American! It's largely based on English but some of the terminology and spelling is different. There is an old thread here somewhere that explains some of the differences.

 

Yes there is if it takes away from the citizens of a country as it does here. They don't pay their medical bills. The tax payer does. The patient of the hospital pays their bill. Or the hospital goes out of business like the hundreds that have around the country.

And when you fill the class rooms with non English speaking children, you take time away from children that are citizens and speak the language. They don't get what they deserve. You have to pay more to teach them. You need to buy all the books in Spanish. The teacher has less time to teach the English speaking children.

And hiring them lowers the wage base. When you live 8 to a three bed room apartment you can afford to take a low paying job. When you only pay $150.00 a month for your rent and bills you can afford to take low paying jobs.

Why would an employer pay $12.00 an hour to a citizen when they can pay $7.00 to an illegal?

Enforce the immigration laws we have.

Where i live all government services like food stamps have all but been cut off to american people because they changed the laws where illegal immigrants get all services no questions asked. In doing so the millions of these leeches broke the system, so now the only ones that qualify for it is illegal immigrants, while everyone else gets the bill for it. After paying the government $200 a week for 17 years and asking for help only one time in my life while recovering from a serious medical issue i was told no, that under the current law i did not qualify...... that is flat fucking wrong.

 

People either don't know or forget one main reason the politicians do nothing about illegals. There are millions of illegals using fake SS cards or cards belonging to other people. Anytime there is any question about a SS number all of the money paid into that account goes into a special fund. As you can imagine this amount of cash has been steadily growing over the years. Years ago the amount became so great the govt. stopped releasing the amount. It has grown much higher since then.
Ever wonder where this cash goes? Ever wonder what has happened to the money in all of the years of illegals paying in? Ever wonder why politicians never mention the special fund?
Do a little research and you may find one more reason there are so many illegals.
