I think the political threads are actually a welcome change from the norm... At least they're actually arguing over something important now.

 

i wouldn't have thought it mattered to you really since you've only posted once in general discussion in the last 4 months.

You wanted to prove something when you questioned how many threads i had started, obviously looked for yourself and saw you had started more. like that would prove something.

You have the option to come into the General Discussion forum and see threads on many subjects. the option is yours whether or not you open and read political threads. i think they are all clearly titled for all to see.

Why do you think your opinion id more worthy than the rest, if people want to discuss politics here in the GD let them, at least we do not drag our asses into the personal or sexuality thread and make our threads there, whereas we have to suffer morons posting adverts and telling us that they love their dogs (in a special way), and now we have you telling us what we should and should not talk about.

I don't see nothing with it seeing as it is in the GD. I do have a problem with the disrespect and bashing of one another also the racism (then again you can't control what everyone does or say on the web) as long as we all follow rules I'm cool with it.

 

OH but you can control what is said on an Internet forum.

That is why many of us like the freedom afforded here.

I quite like reading though the politics threads - I don't have much of an opinion on the two contenders, except for a personal preference, but it is really interesting I think, to see how the Americans 'read' those from the opposite voting camp!!

Sometimes I even click on links to news reports and vids!!

I must admit, I quite like the odd mix of threads that there are in GD...anything from politics to general questions from forum members, the bitching, the fighting, the endlessness of it all...
