  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Today I received an email with this linked, it really hits the nail on the head for US conservatives (of any party):

You call that good advice tenguy.

I call it absolutely fucking hilarious.:excited::excited:

And I'll be more than happy to watch the outcome of the 2014 House and Senate elections with you because the lie of conservatism will be even more soundly rejected then.

You're a walking talking dinosaur tenguy.

At least I am walking, producing tangible results for my efforts and moving forward. Not sitting on my ass waiting for someone to help me get on with my life.

You have just endorsed that little article more than you could possibly know.

The walking dead is right, Stumbler.

"No, whatever you do, don't CONSIDER compromise in the best interests of the country! Dig in your heels, delay, stall, filibuster, undermine any progressive effort to improve the economy and the lives of 95% of Americans! That's the Spirit (of those who are '76.....and senile)"

Walking, tangible proof of your efforts.

    Good for you.

I'd be willing to concede that nearly 10% of Americans are lazy, good-for-nothings who only want a handout. And that includes about 75% of "I inherited my money and I don't want to pay taxes because how will I ever afford my Rollex and caviar" millionaires.

But people like you who say "Fuck Off" to the non-millionaire 85% of Americans in the working class and middle class who work hard, struggle to feed their families, educate their children and give them decent lives while multi-millionaires and billionaires play games with their lives and futures by sucking money out of their companies at an unprecedented rate and send jobs overseas are a DISGRACE.

Tea Party V.2? This shit is tired, Tenguy. The GOP is slowly starving to death on rhetoric like this. You want to perpetuate it, go ahead. But the rest of us are moving on. You're not a movement of ideas, you're a movement of obstructionism. Ideologues will not help this country, educated people committed to finding real, workable solutions will. I will be glad when this type of conservatism is dead.

I had pretty much the same reaction. One seldom sees such concentrated nonsense. The problem with conservatives is that they can't seem to grasp just how far out of the mainstream they've positioned themselves, and how deeply their views offend huge segments of the population.

In this election, for example, we got to see plenty of evidence of the contempt conservatives have for women. Paul Ryan even went so far as to say that rape is just another form of conception. Do they really think they can say things like that and win national elections?

Stumbles and Kimi have spoken, with Ump jumping the stick as well. Since the thread title clearly states who the advice was aimed at, I have no problem understanding why you three don't get it.

Tea Party V2?? Not at all, renewed efforts are needed if our beliefs are to be heard, you better believe it.

If for some strange reason Romney had prevailed Tuesday, would you three have said, oh well, guess we better quit the good fight?? No way that any of you would do that, and I would respect that.

What I think do see is your incredible arrogance that would lead you to believe that others would so easily abandon their core beliefs. Now I can understand Stumbles thinking that, but not Kimi and certainly not Ump, you really disappoint me for your lack of knowledge of the conservative movement.

I'm not asking you to abandon your core anything unless your core belief is deliberate obstinance. The GOP, in it's present form has a slash and burn method of governance and it's not acceptable anymore. Your type treat compromise like it's a four letter word. Your brand of conservatism, the kind outlined in this letter, is not going to win. You really think your ideas are not heard? Everyone even slightly interested knows your ideas. You're like a Christian that tells an atheist they just aren't christian because they haven't heard the good news yet.

The solution to your political woes is not an intensification of the same tactics and policies that got you fairly well stomped in this election. Romney wasn't even close. His electoral vote count topped out at 203. Most of those tea party nut bags were booted out of office. Even Michelle Bachman tried to tack to the center at the last minute, telling people in ads in her state that she was an independent that doesn't take shit from either side.

You tea partiers need to learn how to sacrifice some of your ideology for the greater good. Or not. Like I said, I'm more than happy to see the GOP go down in a raging inferno. Then maybe we can get some modicum of sanity back in Congress.

One more point, which I think needs to be made:

Although I do not believe, in any sense, that 47% of Americans want a handout, BUT.....

Given the position of the Republican Party and their successes in the 1980s and 1990s, the DEMOCRATIC Party, rather than focusing on ways to improve the country, both economically and socially, has concentrated on building a core base among minorities, emphasizing the lack of interest in them, the cutting off of avenues of opportunity, the widening income and wealth gap between the wealthy and middle/working classes. The Democratic Party has also politicized alienation and anger rather being willing to work on compromise and general improvement.

Now you've just hit exactly on the head and what cracks me up about tenguy is he simply can't admit the lie of conservatism has been found out and rejected. That's why a majority of Americans support tax increases for the wealthy.

That's exactly right. Plus the American people are not dumb enough to fall for trickle down economics anymore. That's another thing they said loud and clear last Tuesday.

    Ignore the liberals here, Ten.

They do not have our best interests at heart.

The advice given in that article is sound.

Now is not the time to give up, roll over, and let the liberals conquer us and destroy further this great Republic and its freedoms without a fight.

It's time to pick back up the weapons of truth and liberty and fight the lie and tyranny of liberalism and socialism.

    The battle is on....

It's time to put our boots to their liberal anti-American asses.

And its a whole lot simpler than that. Conservatism is it is preached and practiced in this nation is a lie. Simple as that.

Guys like tenguy preach conservative ideals all the time even though they are never practiced by the conservatives once they get elected. When that happens they double the national debt and as you pointed out start two wars and keep the expenses off the budget.

They preach non-government interference while they loot the economy and then run to the government and taxpayers to bail them out.

But the times they are chagin" and tenguy just can't accept that.

Have no fear, Tenguy. You've got guys like JoeD here on your side. You've have this whole thing sorted by the mid-terms.

Do you ever ask yourself why conservatism doesn't attract more of the educated elites in society, but instead you get people like JD? There are some very smart conservatives, don't get me wrong, but they don't make up your base. Your base is made up of the most ignorant, reactionary morons that can be pulled from outhouses all over this once thriving land. Has that ever crossed your mind?

We had our own Tea Party up here in Canada. They were called the Reform Party and were filled with right wing extremists. They merged with the Conservative Party when it was weakened from a strong defeat and essentially took over the party.

Then their leader Stephen Harper did something smart. He started jettisoning the crazies and toning down the rhetoric. He realized that people don't like and won't elect politicians that espouse extreme political views.

Guess what? His party has been in power for a long time and the last election they won a majority government.

Many of us up here don't like him and much that his party represents, but he is playing the game the right way.

The GOP could learn from his example, but it doesn't look like they have the brains or the will to figure that out. Instead they continue to blame others and double down on their exclusionary bullshit.

Good new for the Democrats I think.;)
