Its sad that a generation of school children will now be hearing lectures that begin with the words "dealing with an active shooter situation." kids deserve to be left alone to be kids. This is outrageous.

There are two pieces of information that I'm having the hardest time with.

1. The mother bought all three guns.... For her son? Did he steal them from her? Why did she need 3 guns? He was described in a few articles as being "off". Now why would anyone put guns in the reach of someone who was not completely and totally sane?

2. Twenty six people are dead and none wounded? How often did that man go to the shooting range to get that proficient at hitting, and killing targets? Expert marksmen might not have been able to shoot and kill 26 people perfectly; was this psycho just incredibly lucky ( or the victims so incredibly unlucky!)

What this man did was beyond disgusting. Of course i have the utmost sympathy for the families of the adults that were gunned down, but the innocent children? Reading about them will give me nightmares for weeks! As a parent, I am so physically ill thinking about those poor families. When my sons, ages 8 & 12, got off the bus, they sure did get extra hugs and kisses!

 

This story is hitting close to home for me, as I only live 10 minutes from the school where this tragedy occurred. Its really depressing how someone can take the lives of 20 innocent children and several teachers trying to help mold a better tomorrow for them.

This day has been nothing but sad and remorseful, especially during the holiday season.

While I cannot even begin to understand what was going through his mothers fucked up head to go out and buy firearms for her mentally ill son, I can explain why there were so many fatalities and why there was no one just wounded.

These were small children, not highly trained and experienced combat troops. Small children when confronted by a life threatening situation will either panic and flee or more commonly freeze in place and wait for an adult to handle the situation. As a result they simply stood there and let this...words cannot describe this fucking asshole adequately...they stood there and froze while the gunman simply shot them at close range. That rules out any real need for marksmanship. In addition to that, these are small children, not adults. Their fragile little bodies cannot absorb the amount of punishment that an adult can. The bullets are a lot bigger to a small child than they are to a grown adult and do proportionately more damage.

 

If someone at that school was armed that NUT may not have killed as many children as he did. And keep in mind those were his mothers guns NOT his so that shows that if a nut wants to kill they can get a gun any time they want. So how does punishing the person that does not go nuts work??

I have plenty of weapons in my house and I have no problems at all.

So lets stop with dis arm everyone crap, If you take peoples guns the nuts will use a bat or knife or something else will you ban that stuff next???

This is a horrible and distressing tragedy. Abhorrent.

The fact that so many people were senselessly killed in cold blood is distrsssing in itself, and the fact that so many of the victims were children only makes it worse.

What sickens and saddens me to the point of dispair, though, is the fact that the victims would have died in sheer terror, watching their friends and colleagues being slain before their end arrives. It just doesn't bear thinking about.

My explanation, which is only a guess, is that whites in the United States are under more pressure to be successful. When white men experience severe failure in their lives some of them snap under the pressure.

Oriental men are also under a lot of pressure to succeed, but they are by nature less violent. An Oriental man facing a severe failure is more likely to kill himself in ways that do not harm others.

Black murder is usually economically motivated, or a black man will kill another black man he knows over a status conflict. Weird psycho stuff seems to be a white specialty.
