Of course, atheists would say that we're only the result of evolution. Evolution involves "tooth and claw" and "survival of the most fit" which includes lots of killing. And since atheists have no absolute standard of right and wrong to appeal to then they really can't say that killing (or anything else for that matter) is "evil."

As for this asshole, we are a result of evolution. That is a fact. Is is a fact proved to a greater degree of certainty than almost every scientific theory ever. You have completely misunderstood the term survival of the fittest, and like most religious idiots, are completely misrepresenting evolution to others. "Survival of the fittest" has nothing to do with lots of killing. It is about being the best suited/adapted for the environment.

Atheists (on average) have have a much higher standard of morals than any monotheistic religious following. You can check this by looking at what groups of people make up the prison population in proportion to the free population.
Atheists get their morals from love, rationality, discussion and debate.

The bible, including the new testament is immoral. You cherry pick which bits of the bible to set your moral standard, and ignore the rest. You are applying your own standard of morality over what god says. Your own standard of morals come from evolution. (well apart from the westboro baptist church and fundamentalist muslims. They follow their books).

Though I think Dave is a cunt for his view on guns I must stand up for him on this matter. Forget the idea of "evil" as there are too many connections with "devil" which is a purely religious idea. The whole point is "good" and "bad" and this does not require religious convictions to understand. There are things which are good for the community and others which are bad for the community.

No-one has as yet ever been able to prove that God exists no more than anyone has ever been able to prove that DD's theory that the age of the universe is 14.7 billion years old but he knows that there are stars 54 billion light years away from earth. It's all just theoretical garbage with not an iota of proof. In fact there is only one word of difference between the idea of the Big Bang starting from nothing with even the void being created and religion and that word is 'GOD". In the first case nothing became everything in a fraction of a second and in the other all was created by a supreme being. The scientific view is going so haywire that I almost prefer the idea of a supreme being. At least it has some logic behind it.
