Never broke anything. (Thank God!) . My friend once had a ball hit him when he was dangling by his arms from the goalpost. The arm came out of the socket.

But my piece de resistance...I stabbed a hole in the back of my freezer, thus letting all the wotsit gas escape into the atmosphere. Ended up costing me nearly 200 quid for a new fridge freezer

 

Never broken anythng, dense bones and the ability to bounce is great.

But seriously my nephew has broken both his ankles playing football and had both of them pinned and plated, after the metal work was removed he could still walk and still play football, the plates are only there while your bones knit together which usually takes a year or so. The pain will ease after a while and you will not notice it.

yes, I have, many times. but have broke others bones wayyyy more then mine.:wall:

 

I got hit by a car back in May, broke both my ankles, had surgery on both... left has something like 16 screws and 2 plates, right has about 10 screws 2 plates. Its been cold here in Denver and they've really been hurting. I have noticed when I do massage my ankles they're not as painful the next day. In the morning it's the roughest, you can barely stand without falling over.

I hope I don't have to have surgery ever again... the scarring and recovery are the worst!

The pain's normal, dear. Nothing like that deep ache. Sorry to say that everyone who posted about their broken bones are correct. Physical therapy isn't an absolute must, but it's highly suggested. Therapists are put here for the sole purpose of inflicting pain on those who have had to get repairs made on their bodies. They're a necessary evil, because it's human nature not to cause yourself pain. Most won't push themselves as a therapist can, so you wind up with lots of limited motion. Don't be a hero, take something for pain and get the therapy. When the pain gets dulled, the body can heal. Tootsies have many bones, very complicated, and I'd say as the others did that one to two years isn't out of the question to be pain free. Years ago, I raced motorcycles, broke more bones than I care to admit, but still pat those memories on the back. Hope you heal perfectly!

 

As a guy with hardware in his ankle also, I gotta tell you, that was a bad break you have. Way worse than mine, I hope the pain goes away soon.

 

Broke my right ankle sky diving, have three pins in it. My right collar bone when in high school, doing cheerleading at a football game.

 

I broke my baby finger on my right hand in physical education class while in high school. No one would believe me for years until a doctor asked me how I broke it. It works but it isn't straight.

 

Broken a few bones

1. Right wrist playing soccer
2. Fingers/toes here and there
3. Left wrist car accident
4. Right side of my jaw form a sucker punch in a fight

Not necessarily. As someone noted above, your ankles have all your weight above them. You fall just right, laws of leverage say that, even in a small person, all that weight moving can generate a lot of force. It doesn't have to mean that your bones are weak. Just that your luck isn't all that great.
