  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Happily I've no cravings, though once I get hungry, I also get irrational, so I have to have some fruit or healthy snacks to hand. I do like to have crisps (chips to those over the pond) so have a few packets of low fat corn or cassava snacks in the pantry. Liquorice is a good sugary treat that takes a while to eat if I need sugar rather than fruit - and a reasonable source of oestrogen, so I've been told (good for my age - hot flushes etc)

One of my favourite sweeties, the "Liquorice Wheel with an Aniseed hub". It is also a good laxative. Now I must find some.

Today I got very hungry and ate a oat and raisin cookie plus 30g of Brazil nuts. Nothing else mind! Only kidding, I had a 2.5 egg omelette with 2 rashers of smoked bacon and two pieces of KFC chicken with fries. Oh and 2 litres of dry cider (800 calories!) I have cursed my soul! And it's weigh in tomorrow morning!

I guess you have to put in the extra work to burn off those calories that you had consumed. Maybe some extra cardio or some wrestling with the wife.

I promise to wrestle with her as soon as she comes to bed (if she will let me ;)) but I doubt it will get me as sweaty as the 5K I did earlier this evening.

No wrestling allowed last night. :( Well it was 2:30am and her hands were hurting from a strange falling on a table incident on Friday.

Weigh in today and I weighed 10st 13lb, yay! :p Nearly killed myself to lose that 2 lbs mind. ;)

Thnaks Sully. It seems the manufacturers don't like (or most probably don't have to) to give out information. It's very difficult 'pointing' alcohol on WW and can only be done roughly, so it's best to cut consumption back as much as possible.

    Thanks Beastly :)

I read an article in the Independent recently that said food (calorific) values are rarely accurate, due partly to the fact that fibre is either not accurately measured or left out altogether, and also due to the fact that we don't entirely understand the way that we digest food. I meant to look it up - I'll get on to that. The WW 'points' system changed a couple of years back; food values used to be calculated using calories and saturated fat - now protein, carbohydrate, total fat content and fibre are all taken into consideration. I have often found that fibre content is not included on some processed foods, so I have to make a guess.

Anyhow, back to my progress - weighing in today; a pound off. Not bad, I've fallen back the last couple of days due to partying (I couldn't resist nibbles and booze, but made sure I danced as much as I could :excited:) and an erratic schedule on Sunday. I had to cry off Yoga last night as I felt unwell - but I'll be back on schedule today.

A total of ten pounds since I started - just hovering on the * stone mark; 27lb from the top figure of the recommended BMI for my height.

Way to go Cija, i hope next time you weigh in you´ll have reached your goal!

I heard the other day that we might be calculating calories wrongly completely as they might change their calorific content when being processed (cooked) so the raw material might have a different amount of calories than a cooked one for example

Keep up the good work, Jamie!

(Don't use two adverbs in a row "wrongly completely"; also, best usage: "calculating calories incorrectly, as they might.....")
