Has anyone even been taught how to masturbate/asked to be taught/taught someone else? Friends, family, others etc?

Also if you have any stories like this- they are impossible to find!

Sex is already taught by schools, but masturbation is a bit more taboo and is never formally taught- hence the interest!

hmm kinda see where your coming from, Masturbation is never really explained as such other than touching yourself to feel good and all that nonsense but because of how taboo it is, it's kind of left alone, that and it's about self exploration and other than techniques to try out there isn't much you can teach as such.
I would expect at this point in your life (the age when people can join this forum) most people would already have a fairly effective masturbation technique so maybe if anyone has any tips or techniques they would like to share as well as that might be a good idea?

The first part- yes, that is exactly what I mean. Most parents give the "birds and the bees" talk to their kids when they are young, but rarely does it extend beyond safe sex. Never venturing into the more "taboo" aspects of masturbation etc. I'd be very interest if anyone else had a different experience growing up. Personally, I never had the courage to ask, but I was litterally on the verge of asking my parents about morning wood- it seriously worried me cause I didn't think it happened to all guys lol

On the second part- I generally find sex/masturbation tips to be a bit useless, but I'm all for sharing.... masturbation wise I'm not very exotic just prefering it "straight up", while sex wise, well, I can't really comment .

Maybe there should be classes on this. You can never have enough information on subjects like this. I just hope it's a "hands on" class.
