Then consider how that article would read if it had happened under Bush.

If it would have happened under Bush that article would be all about how it's HIS fault.

We've had MUCH WORSE situations in our history than our current bad economy (the fuckin' Great Depression, World Wars, etc.)...and YET the Post Office delivered mail on Saturday.

Have we become so pussyfied under liberalism that we can't even deliver mail on Saturday like our ancestors did under circumstances that make our problems seem like a picnic in the park?! :wall:

Give me a fucking break. I've been predicting this change for years and it makes total sense. Conservatives keep complaining about out of control government spending and the Post Office has been in the GOP's targets in Congress (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/...s-Kill-Good-Government-Postal-Service-Edition). It's been operating in the red for a while now, due in large part to the rise of e-mail, so something needed to be done to curb costs. Times change and sometimes technology forces us to phase out old fashioned ways of doing things. I wouldn't have complained about this under Bush and I'm not complaining now.

Joe just needs to hit his righteous indignation quota for the day. No doubt, if they raised the rates to help pay for continued Saturday delivery, he'd be bitching about that too.

 

The only thing I get in the mail on Saturday is junk and bills. They can wait until Monday as anybody else just sends an e-mail.
