  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

does anybody have the info or know how much money postal department blew to sponsor the "doper" Lance armstrong . now that was a good example of pissing down a rat hole .
also would be nice to know the budget for the deparment . how much money is wasted on their "fact finding " trips during winter . fu8nny how all those trips end up in warmer weather parts of country/world . maybe that is where the young ,nubile and willing ladies are . then of course we end up footing the bill towards the hosting duties of the said ladies .

Nope. People like me know that the GOP's frauds, crooks, and liars are a Hell of a lot better than the Dem's.

    The lesser to two evils.
Ump probably also likes to tweet that he's about to eat a ham sandwich thinking that people actually give a fuck.

    how it really is

alright i understand your point i think we are all getting it. now im not taking sides with either presidents. but let me point out some facts.

by removing Saturday mail delivery the post office is now saving billions of dollars of tax payers money. by saving gas, workers, and electricity and possibly many more connecting resources. i agree that this nation is now less of what it used to be because of the dependency of things that we DON'T NEED. but you also have to see that yes during world war and the great depression be made Saturday delivery's but look at the population size of then and now. not only that but because now that online purchasing has become a big boom in our society delivery's are becoming heavier and bigger to pack which means more delivery men and smaller territory for them to cover. that means we lose money. any logical person would see that this is not something that people should be supportive about because its Obama doing it we should support it because its the necessary thing to do in out economy

To clear one point up, this proposed change actually won't impact the deficit at all because the USPS has been acting as a quasi independent agency since the 70's, paying its own way more or less like a non profit business. The Postmaster General is not a part of the cabinet anymore and so this is not Obama's proposal in any way. Despite their independence, Congress still has oversight power and in 2006, they passed a bill forcing the USPS to pay forward on employee pensions to an unprecedented degree. This, along with the ongoing decrease in volume, did a lot to throw their books out of balance. There are also limits on how much they're allowed to raise postal rates, so what other options do they have now? They've already pared down their work force and closed smaller branches--there will undoubtedly be more of this to come, particularly in rural areas.

Times change. The Postal Service has done a good job for the country overall, but it's becoming outmoded and needs to adapt. I hope that it survives in some form.

US Post Office Deficit will reach $9.2 billion this fiscal year?

While everyone wants Congress to give the Post Office billions of dollars, there is a solution to all this: get rid of the Post Office's monopoly. Whose fault is it that the Post Office has these horrible labor contracts that force all this inefficiency? From the New York Times:
the agency is so low on cash that it will not be able to make a $5.5 billion payment due this month and may have to shut down entirely this winter unless Congress takes emergency action to stabilize its finances.

“Our situation is extremely serious,” the postmaster general, Patrick R. Donahoe, said in an interview. “If Congress doesn’t act, we will default.”

In recent weeks, Mr. Donahoe has been pushing a series of painful cost-cutting measures to erase the agency’s deficit, which will reach $9.2 billion this fiscal year. They include eliminating Saturday mail delivery, closing up to 3,700 postal locations and laying off 120,000 workers, nearly one-fifth of the agency’s work force.

The post office’s problems stem from one hard reality: it is getting squeezed on both revenue and costs.

As any computer user knows, the Internet revolution has led to people and businesses sending far less conventional mail.

I don't think Congress ever even presented the supposed bailout package for a vote, so the taxpayers aren't on the hook for it. The USPS is restructuring so as to be able pay off its debts. What's the problem?

Maybe you missed the part where the USPS spun off into an independent agency decades ago. They didn't get a sweet bailout like everyone else, but Congress still gets to fuck with them. It has to pay its own way, but in part due to the pension frontloading that the Congress imposed, it's now in debt. It's looking for ways to lower its debt by scaling back services.
