  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    Well, lets see.

Yea a 7.62 will work for someone down the street, but so will a 30.06 or a 30.30. And I have those two 30.06/30.30. Also have a .22 Rifle and 22 Pistol shooting LR. Got a SW 9 MM and a 10" SW .357. Got my 410, 20ga and 12ga, all pumps. But the one I love the most is my Cross Bow, People have forgot that those will kill you as fast as any hand gun, and I can go get my Arrow back if I dont break it and shoot someone else. Heres the cool things about Cross Bows, When I shoot it at you, it dont make noise so where am I, come find me. And you can buy cases of arrows right now and there cheap vs shells.

I have got somwhere around 60.000 rounds of ammo and probably 20.000 arrows. Been buying ammo for years..I looked at some of the .22 shells the other day, I noticed I had paid .89 cents for 100 rounds and think there were 10 cases of them. man has ammo went up..

So my opinion is give me the "Silent Killer" I like the Cross Bow.

believing that the kalashnikov model 47 is the best ever made tlls me that you have watched way to many movies and TV shows
the model 724 and the 100 were far superior
hell even the saiga rifles were better made
and on top of that id guess that you have never fired a fullauto 47 or 74 and that you didnt even know about the 100

and owning a firearm doesnt protect you from anything only real vigilance and proper security practices will
the average person does not need a firearm most are not trained well enough on the use of any weapon to do any level of good, even our military and police arent trained properly

before anyone gets any gun get training, then get more training, and then get more training

Oh man...great post! The use profile is different between the two in many instances of course, but your point is well made. I used to shoot a compound long bow deer hunting, but that was 20 years ago; I have absolutely no experience with a crossbow. I bet it is fun to shoot.

These are interesting things to analyze. The likelihood of our ever having to bring arms to bear against our neighbors from a societal collapse is so small that I don't commit much time or many resources to analysis or preparation. I'm much more concerned about a regional event (nuclear power plant failure, extreme weather event, etc.).

The entire dynamic changes should a complete breakdown of systems occur (economy, Internet). In this case those with heavily resourced, tight knit alliances would be best off

No I don't (and it is equally possible that such a discussion might or might not bear influence). Obviously, the fool could obtain a weapon without advice from a single person here, but it's still baffling that anyone would offer assistance or encouragement on this subject to the delusional Masker of Facts.

You would need to define the "pressures" - if I tell you I'll give you lots of money to do something you usually oppose, you might not be swayed at all. But if I tell you to do it because I have a gun to your spouse's or child's head, you just might.

aesop putting a gun to ones head or use of threat of violence or reprisal is not pressure that is force or coersion and is illegal
pressures would be the basis of words to compel one into an action without force or action

also i see this as you having a predetermined path of thought about a person and being unwilling to see that they might be fully able to handle the safe and responsible possesion of a weapon
you have a prejudgement that would distort your opinion against the thought that the person could be a well qualified owner
you do not know if the individual has previous training with firearms, was law enforcement or military trained hell you dont even know if the individual could pass a background check yet you have prejudged them

and for the record i do not encourage anyone to buy a gun if they feel threatened because that is when they are the most dangerous
i will try to advise buyers as to what is the best tool for the task as it may occur and that tool is always training first, training second, training third, and then more training

Well said. Far too much is put upon the tool and not enough is put upon the craftsman who uses it. Anybody can own a car but that doesn't make you F1 qualified.

In many cases a good martial arts program would be a good starting place rather than buying a gun.

ive been learning about firearms since i was about 5 and still do not know everything about the safest use of them in every situation because i havent been in every situation
i have never been carjacked or had my home broken into
ive never been mugged or attacked by a group of drug crazed criminals
i have hunted and attacked by the animals i hunt
i have served in a warzone
i do know the current tactical defense methods and yes i do train people on them
i spen at least 2 months every year leaning what i might not know and alot of what i already do know simply because i dont ever want to have to kill anyone
3 days a week i teach the local concealed carry course
and 1 day a week i work to teach the local ROTC about arms safety
yes i did invest in a gun shop and yes i do own way too many but most of what i have is collectors items

here will never be a replacement for good common sense and proper training

You've somehow managed to miss the point completely... from my very first post in this thread it's been clear that I have already formed a negative opinion of the OP based on past behavior- behavior which indicates that the OP is not able to deal with reality in a productive manner and frequently attempts to "twist" facts to serve his own pre-formed opinions; behavior which has been observed and commented on by others (I'm not just imagining it based on my own dislike). He is also delusional enough to believe that he is "Master" of something he has very little understanding of or relationship with. He often ignores pointed questions or comments that show how wrong he is or how little he grasps a concept; he chooses to ignore truth/reality rather than face it. Or maybe he doesn't "choose" to ignore it, but is simply not capable of facing it. He maintains a list of Internet enemies, for fuck's sake! This is clearly not someone who has any business owning a weapon, and (LOOK FOR IT... THIS IS THE POINT I HAVE BEEN MAKING THE WHOLE TIME!) I can't imagine why anyone would be willing to contribute any advice to him other than "This is a very bad idea".

Of course, I assume some people posting here are not familiar with the OP, but many have been here long/often enough to know he is not "all there". Open your eyes- here you have a known racist who has specified that the gun in question would be used in the event of a "race riot"! If THAT doesn't raise a red flag, what the hell does? :wall:

"Get training" is excellent advice for anyone who is already starting out with the basic physical and mental capabilities needed before one even THINKS about owning a gun, but I (again) fail to see why anyone would enter into the discussion with someone who has already displayed their lack of stability.

And I'm not sure if you're trying to play word games or if you genuinely just don't understand the definition - "pressure" is generally the application of force or stress. It comes in many forms, and is not limited to words alone. Of course the threat of violence is illegal, but that has no bearing on the fact that it is also one of many different forms of pressure that might be put upon a person.

What you see is that unlike my detractors I nearly always substantiate my arguments with facts documented by credible sources.

So many of the opinions posted on XNXX consist of nothing more than attitudes of like or dislike.

    Who decides what competency is?

I've had bouts of depression and I own a lot of firearms.
I'm sane and of no threat to anyone, yet just seeing a therapist could ban someone from ownership if the government has it's way.

Backround checks maybe you have a speeding ticket on your record from your teens. In the government's eye you mind as well be a dangerous felon.

copom a speeding ticket would not exclude anyone from purchasing a firearm in any state of the union and would not proclude one from future ownership, nor does the knowledge of one seeking a doctors guidance for depression or even anger issues
they look mainly for past criminal convictions for violent crimes such as domestic violence, rape, murder, and robbery

i sell to people that were jailed for tickets and even failure to pay child support so i know what can pass the checks

and aesop you must confuse me for one that enjoys playing games
but i do not prejudge anyone based soley on what they post to a porn site or internet board because here anyone can say anything and do so with almost absolute impunity
most people posting on the net would never act on what they post in real life but given the freedom of annonimity they will say it here
do i ever advise anyone to get a firearm just because they feel threatened HELL NO
but if they are going to get one i would prefer that they do so in the safest manner possible
that starts with proper training and safety measures
then getting a secure place to keep it
    and then getting more training
    then getting the weapon

and yes i am familiar with DL and we have had our disagreements in the past but i can see past the differences in opinions and advise as to the safest weapon for him
and since you disregard him as a racist what would you think of me if i told you that i am a racial seperatist?
i have the right to associate with whom i choose of any race and to not associate with whom i choose of any race and opt to excersise that right at any given time

just because one refuses to acceprt other races does not make them a racist

but the fact that you jude other does leave you with the label of predjudiced
