No offence to Pinkseude intended, but I wouldn't go for the de-sensitising lube. If you attempting to penetrate her is causing her pain, then it's doing so for a reason - if you de-sensitise her then the risk of you actually injuring her goes up.

Your plan sounds solid, stick with it.
