The United States needs a moderate independent liberterian (perhaps?) democrat. Face it, Obama has forgotton who he really is, a democrat and a liberal.

No President can ever balance the US budget until line-by-line veto is introduced. (Congress could, but based on recent performance it's never going to want to.)

Wasn't Clinton the last (and only in more than thirty years) President to actually pay down some of the national debt?

 

clinton paid it down to a measureable level because he/ she was smart and ended the bush era spening spree
he also passed a balanced budget and got laid in the oval office
republicans can say what they want but the last man laid in the oval office was kennedy
and he got killed for it

 

She was also smart enough to fake an illness so she wouldn't have to testify about Bengazi.

Since members of Congress can't agree on enough to agree where the men's room is, there is no way they could put enough votes together to pass an amendment.

Assuming that Gingrich did, it would still - according to most Republicans nowadays - be Clinton that deserved the credit. After all, whenever Congress forces Obama to do, or not do, something it is Obama that gets the blame; what's a valid argument now must have been a valid argument then.
