  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

I think if you're old enough to die for your country then you should be allowed to drink too. Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree; if you're old enough to fight for your country, you ought to be able to get drunk.

I saw an airport bartender lay into a soldier who tried to buy a beer. After the soldier left, I asked what that was all about. The bartender went on about how the "punk" could have cost him his job and the bar it's license.

My response was that "punk" was willing to fight and die for all of us, and yeah, you couldn't sell him a beer, but he still deserves our respect and our thanks. I suggested he owed the soldier an apology.

You'd think, logically, that a country would just debate what the age of consent should be, come to a consensus agreement (it will never be unanimous) and then just have the ONE age of consent. You're old enough to drink, shag, vote, post nude pics of yourself, go and join the army, drive a car, get a loan ... or you're not.

In England, you can have sex with me at the age of 16 but if you send me a nude photo of yourself at 16 I will go to prison. You can't drink or vote until 18, but you can learn to drive and join the army at 17 ... you can't stand for Parliament until 21.

I still find it quite a giggle when I am reminded of the USA's bizarre drinking laws, along with the age of consent which appears to vary from state to state, but do not allow folk to drink until 21.

Over here the age of consent (for sexual activity) is 16, and the age of majority is 18, when one can vote, drink and generally be a regular citizen.

There are still some dichotomies - one can join the army at 16, but still be ineligible to vote or drink, although the age for same-sex relationships has recently been synchronised.

I am very much of the opinion that if a young person is prepared to put their life on the line, and enter into a war-zone, then we should afford them all the rights of an adult - I am grateful for the sterling work done by our armed services all over the world.

Or conversely - though I'm not disagreeing with you - if we don't consider you an adult until you reach 18, we should not expect nor allow you to risk your life for our country. It certainly should be one or the other.

If you are expected to kill or be killed, any restrictions of any kind from the government is the stupidest shit i have ever seen. Of course I do not agree with 99% of government actions and laws

I think that as long as you stay on the base, you should be allowed to drink on your time off. Outside of the base, local laws take effect.

When I was in the service overseas, there was no minimum age.

Well some remarkable consensus, from Posters who normally can't seem to agree whether it is day or night.

I agree, old enough to serve, old enough to drink.

In Australia you are allowed to drink at 16yrs of age if you are at your own place and have parent suppervision. Then at 18yrs of age you can drinkas much as you like at night clubs pubs ect.

My man, I'd have a beer with you any day. If you're willing to die for this country, you should get the first beer. And I'll raise a glass to your fallen friends.

In Canada the drinking age is 19. In some countries the drinking age is "old enough to see over the bar." The primary reason that we have a restriction at the age of 21 is to prevent or at least reduce traffic fatalities related to alcohol among young people. Traffic deaths are the leading cause of death in people under the age of 25 and the majority of those deaths involve alcohol.

That said, I consider it to be a matter of natural selection and would be perfectly willing to see the drinking age lowered to 16 or 18. Anyone dumb enough to consume alcohol and then either operate a motor vehicle or enter a vehicle driven by someone who has been consuming alcohol is probably not somebody that we really need to have splashing around in the gene pool.

tim in some states its 18 to drink in a bar but 21 to buy
in texas a parent can give their child alchohol after age 15 without much worry as long as they dont let them get drunk or become endangered
here its a tradition to take a kid for their first hunt and give them a rifle usualy by age 15
to celebrate that feat the father and child bond over a beer or a shot
my 9 year old alredy has her first buck and i keep her rifle in my safe
but ill wait till i teach her to drive to let her drink a beer
