Just FYI:

Empress Lainie's post total was DOUBLED for some reason during that glitch (went from about 26,000 something posts to 53,000) while I lost 500+ posts.

As usual, the pile of manure that you use for brains was wrong.

 

Also, the "answer" to what is wrong now is still extremely unclear. In some threads my pic posts remain from BEFORE yesterday morning while most are gone. Yet, I used the same process to post ALL the pics. So it can't be simply "if you post using the attachment manager. The same thing with the pics in my album. I post them using the same process and they are all still there.

 

What I do know is that sometimes when back-ups restore data, you lose the data that's been added since the back-up. I've witnessed that at two of the companies where I've been employed. I may not be a computer expert, but I do have experience in server's crashing.

 

Hey, E... there are LOTS and LOTS of pictures missing!!! Would you know exactly what happened, precisely when or if it will be corrected, and what financial compensation the individual members can expect? And maybe you should notify admin while you're at it.

Let's hope there is a working and up-to-date backup, that's the only proper solution. Imagine you're a new member, and all you find are empty threads. I've had a chat with Umpire, we both agree that this would be bad advertisement for the board.

Definitely! And it's a common phenomenon that many people hardly read more than the first handful of posts, sad but true.

I am a new member and its very frustrating. I think I signed up right as something crashed. I see all the comments about a pic and only get to wonder what it looks like.
