I'm just curious what you would think or do if someone you know told you they'd seen your nude pick on line or on a cell phone etc. ?

 

For me, it would be disastrous, from both a personal and a professional standpoint. As for what I would do...what CAN you do?

 

I have to be careful, I work with the public as a nurse, anyone could see and recognise me

 

But isn't it only disastrous if you let it be? I mean really if someone's seen you naked and they confront you, why be ashamed?
I'm proud of what I have, and what some see as flaws in others I just see as perfectly simple differences.
But I'm not ashamed of being on here or showing off and if you come to me saying you saw my body I'd be kind of flattered.
Oh and I would also think it'd be kind of embarrassing for someone to outright say they saw photos of you linked to a porn site.

Notice though I just don't show off to anybody. Only special friends can view.

 

Oh yeah, that would work out really well. I can see myself giving a speech at some national conference on education policy and find that some guy is passing around naked pictures of me...or maybe a transcription of a sex story I wrote.

 

Exactly. I guess it all come down to how much you've got to lose. People get fired from jobs for a lot less.

 

I say if they are sharing it around and partaking of it, then they are in fact no better and in my eyes are worse people. What you are doing is feeding a fantasy and you are doing it in a way that is not "in your face" or invasive to others. It is in a controlled environment.
If they choose to indulge in slander and frat like pass around behavior then they are in fact in possession of less character, integrity and moral high-ground than the sole of my shoe.

So, fuck whether you are fired, that doesn't define your character. Instead, I would hold my head up high and tell them to now divulge their secrets. We all have them, its the individual who recognizes its not their place to divulge secrets of others.
Seems to me the issue would fall into the fact that others cant seem to mind their own fucking business anymore!! So, everyone should remember that when you get just a little too nosy in the future. Ask yourself, does this pertain to my life. If no, then fuck it!

Well, gosh, I'm sure glad I'll have sole possession of the moral high ground while people who can't seem to mind their own fucking business are busy ending my career. That will be a great comfort to me.

They don't have to "prove" anything. Unfortunately, in this day and age just the accusation something like this is enough to end a career. Court of public opinion and all that...

 

I've been correctly recognized off pics I put online...

The first time I blushed, tried not to look like a deer in the headlights, winked and walked away. It was a few days before I completely broke up with my ex and we were out shopping. He came back to the cart and asked what it was about. So I said "I posted naked pictures of myself online and that guy recognized me." He didn't believe me and just laughed.

Second time it was two guys, came up to me and asked. I said yep, which got the response "cool" and a high five before they walked away.

Third and fourth (last) times I said maybe and turned or walked away.

 

I no no longer post. I had a user try and find my location and It got kinda creepy. He was able to identify some of the places where I had taken some flashing pics and even was able to use info my camera embedded in the pics to try and guess where I worked and live. I have since deleted all but the oldest of pics that were taken inside at my old house.

2) Wakeman does have a point. I think if you were giving that important speech only to be interrupted with breaking news about you being nude, would be disrespectful and irrelevant to the principle at hand. I mean honestly, there's a time and place for your sexual fun and would be a downright waste of time trying to blackmail. It's pretty much like so what, especially if your face isn't in it and its hard to prove. I mean when there are shows like Two Broke Girls that is just crass and you watch it, then how the fuck can you get on my ass because you saw my dick on the web.

But that also has me thinking. Is there an advantage to putting yourself out there at a younger age? Or is it the way my generation views sexuality in general. Because really, who fucking cares.

Or just imagine if an ordinary, garden-variety elementary school teacher was discovered to have posted nude pictures of herself online, and some parent discovers them.

Kimiko is in a very unforgiving profession whee superiors just love to tear people down. From holier than thou parents, to self-rightious coworkers to power tripping supervisors -- education is a mine field.

In the last year I know of only one educator who survived a mini-scandle. A young female teach was blackmailed by an online partner who threatened to out her and distribute images. She got cops involved and school administration was told due to safety concerns. She is still teaching but it was hard on her.

The county next to mine fired it's finance director for being found to post on SM sites.

Reading between the lines, kimiko sounds like an education consultant, so she does have a huge risk if found out.

I work in schools, so I can relate to her concerns.
