1. I preferred "escort" because from an industry connotation standpoint, it generally implied a higher class of both person and service. But most of us girls had no problem with calling ourselves whores. It's only when clients did it...

2. I would say in excess of 80%. I generally didn't ask mainly because I didn't want to know but guys in their post-orgasm pillow talk let a lot on and sometimes you just make a good friendly connection with a client and so conversation happens.

3. Only once and it was awkward mainly because she didn't really take care of herself too well and she was doing it to make him happy. She was visibly upset when he focused his time on me and ignored her. I had to redirect quite a few times.

 

It was a friend that got me into the business. She was one of my sorority sisters and was working. I obviously didn't let it on as to what I was doing to most of my friends but the few I let in, after their initial shock, were generally supportive and one even briefly joined the industry and I held her hand to get her started.

As far as family, only my twin brother knows. I'm somewhat confident that after her initial disapproval my mom would have been supportive but concerned for my safety. You would be surprised how clean most higher end escorts are. Let me make it clear that most escorts have gone bare at least a few times. I was no exception. It's a stupid move but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it does happen. But aside from the occasional lapse with a regular, most girls and myself included are very strict about condoms and we're also pretty wise to tricks guys do to either sabotage the condom or slip it off.

When I was working I would get tested every 6 weeks like clockwork. I always came back 100% clean. In my 5 years of working, I only heard of 3 girls testing positive for something. Keep in mind we're talking girls that charge $250+/hour so our niche was very different than say a girl working on the corner, being pimped or the random ad on Backpage.

You can never be 100% sure although screening has become a lot more involved these days. So screening helps. Being "ok'd" by another provider that is well known also help. Sites like P411 and DateCheck also help validate that the client is legit or at least somewhat legit. That's from a girls side of things.

From a client's view, it can be hard. If you see a girl on Backpage that is TGTBT (too good to be true), then that should be a red flag. Normally I say stick to sites like TER or RedBook or their ilk because the phonies easily get weeded out and you're left with largely legit providers. Local boards like TOB and Sowet in Denver (my backyard) are good because the community is smaller and self policing.

What you can't protect from is if a girl is flipped. I was never busted. I was almost busted but never got hit from vice. I did know of a girl that flipped and busted 4 of her regulars, all were higher profile married guys too. And it happens.

But there are some ways you can be a bit safer. Large metro areas generally turn a blind eye to escorts in general. Take Denver. The actual city of Denver doesn't really go after escorts. The suburbs like Lakewood and Wheat Ridge, however, pull stings all the time. So stay out of most burbs and stick to the primary metro namesake. Avoid seeing girls during large venues. Again, using Denver as an example, right now we have the National Western Stockshow. We had the DNC convention back in 2008. Those times vice steps up and actually "appears" to be tough on the girls but after the show ends, things return to normal. Stings are very common then as well. Other cities like San Fran just flat out don't care but just don't be obvious. Same with New York. Also be careful of "out of town" girls that you can't google or lack reviews in their supposed home city.

At the end of the day, most internet-based indy escorts are going to be a safe bet but again, you will have to do your homework. If I were a client and living in Denver, I would only see girls that were listed on EscortBoards and/or P411. I would never use Backpage (helps that I never advertised there or on CL either).

Let me state that I HATED being a stripper. Honestly, I found it totally demoralizing. It was a constant hustle and you had to work hard. Really hard. Competition was fierce and dealing with drunk guys that didn't respect boundaries...ugh.

I did do 5 or 6 lap dances for girlfriends / wives that came with their SO.
