Okay, ladies and germs. Back to topic.

I have said many times, and I still firmly believe, that the banning of Baller16 is what snuffed the life out of this place.

Just look at it:

1. Shortly thereafter, Stumbler left in protest. BIG hit.

2. Miss Kimiko drifted away along with Stumbler. Slightly less of a hit, but still a pretty big one.

3. DistantLover tried to fill the vacuum, but let's face it: he's a little too off-kilter to sell himself plausibly as a compassionate liberal, so he usually succeeds only in derailing threads.

4. Several others have made attempts to fill the void. I don't have to name them. We know who they are, and they've all been a bunch of thin-skinned milquetoasts.

5. They used me to justify the banning of Baller16, and permanently pissed me off. My attitude is small-fry in the bigger scheme of things, but I so happen to argue Right-of-center around here, and I've become one of a rather sizable majority, since all the best advocates for the Left have run for the hills.

Point is, the inmates are ruling the asylum! %-)%-)%-)

baller had so many reasons to be banned not sure why they used your incident with him...there where 3 accounts he could have been banned with me alone but the mods kept giving him one more chance....

Stumbles, kimiko as most of the left wing left when they could not defend Obama any longer for his crap....DL admits Obama has let him down so he can hang around and talk about the great FDR and the horrors of Reagan and the Bushes...

Not sure about Rick O sock be he seemed to be an old version of RoM resident of Maryland....he pulled the "Old Card" more than Obama's crowd pulls the "Race Card". Oh and Ten Guy got under is skin by calling him on his BS more than anyone...

This forum has slowed down more because of all the other social networking than what happens here....not to mention all the times we have 404 time outs and slow servers and virus warnings and some browsers and virus protection locking us out....


Hell we have had 9 hours from the State of The Union and no posts about how great Obama is.....48% approval by the country may have something to do with that.....

Don't give yourself so much credit as there have been large gaps when you where not around.....

RK, I think you nailed it in most of your post.

Baller got banned because he was out of control too much of the time, he pissed too many people off.

There are many left wingers who have bailed on the forum, but I think it has as much to do with rabid "Tea party'ers" who gnawed their way through their hides, rather than reasoned their way into their minds. Stumbles and Kimi grew tired of repeating the same old and tired lines, something that DL doesn't seem to notice. Obama's fall from grace with the "Progressives" notwithstanding, they simply ran out of steam.

Rick and RoM seemed to be joined at the hip, but RoM is too smart to be able to fake Rick's idiocy.

But by and large, Clarise did vex Rick far more than I did, he treated me with indifference when I rankled him, he got flustered with Clarise.

I vex him for the same reason all of the misogynists do. They can't believe I'm female. This is partly my fault. I won't post pix. Moreover, it is a well known fact that I have a male pen name. But then they dig deeper. They search for me in pix and personals and find out that I never, EVER post there-- not even with my one "admin-liaison" sock account, Colleen Turner. A glaring omission... if I'm purportedly male, right? So then they dig even deeper and actually read my books, which of course are written with a female sensibility. So they are more confused than ever.

Most of my readers can accept the simple fact that I use a male pen name to separate my writing avocation from a prominent publicly visible professional life.

Then there are a small minority-- the misogynists-- who get bested around here by my "clarise" persona and go absolutely mental, because they are simply incapable of accepting the possibility that a woman has taken them to school.

Rick O'Sock and Resident of Maryland do have remarkably striking similarities indeed.

There have been some big changes and it appears that in some ways XNXX decided maybe the forum was somewhat out of control and therefore banned some what it thought were the most adversarial posters. Then there has been the technical issues, which pissed off some and caused some attrition to happen. Also, there has been some natural attrition and few simply decided to move on.

Nah Clarise, you are not at the root in any way regarding what the forum is today. Anyway, I think some people here are lifers here and there will be many more newbies in future. Who knows if another Baller, TCL or Diedre79 will sign up? One thing that I am sure of is if any newbie resembles any past poster in mannerism, posting style, ..., etc. they will attacked by pompous trolls. Hell, even the pompous trolls attack newbies if they don't write perfect sentences in English. Whatever, that's XNXX and one must just accept it for what it is and be themselves and let the elitist garb roll off their back.

For the record, Clarise - I don't think Rick was a sock. I think he was full of shit in many ways and relatively new to message boards in general, but not a sock. You can call him a sock and get many of your friends to call him a sock, which is behavior exhibited by many old trolls here - but as for me, I respectfully disagree with your assertion.

In my opinion, no one here is better than anyone else. Everyone is equal and all newbies should know that.

Only problem I see with that was the name was created about a year ago and he showed up with about 50 posts 3 months ago....

In those 3 months he had around 3500 posts was called people noobs....
To me he was a noob.....

He did post a lot of new topic threads and we need someone who does that....

He also seemed to know everyone here from the start but that could happen because he lurked that time.....which would mean he understood what he was getting into here....

Right, the account was created a year ago and he claimed to be around forums for years. I think it was an exaggeration on his part when he claimed to be around forums for years. Also, he only had 50 posts, as you pointed out, until recently so even with a one year old account he was pretty green and his behavior showed it, in my opinion.

My "real" account at XNXX used to be aesexual pseudonym. (The name itself is a testament to my intentional practice of clouding my gender in places like this.)

"clarise" is an account that I created about six months after "aesexual pseudonym" was permanently removed from the site. You can't search for the user name itself, because it no longer exists. But you can look on the Story Forum, where aesexual pseudonym used to be active, and you will see that he/she created the Story Reviews thread and reviewed many stories over a six month period before one of the site's verified sockmasters literally drove a.p. off the board.

That sockmaster, b.t.w., has made a few appearances on this thread! And he has been very active in General Discussion, under various avatars, ever since Rick O'Sock left. The mods insist it is coincidence. Whatever. I won't identify the avatars.... I have a running pact with he/she/it not to call him out. A tenuous peace. But many of you can guess.

Back to me.

"clarise" is a minor character in my novels.

I have one other account, which I use almost exclusively in an "official capacity." That account is "Colleen Turner," another character in my novels.

As to the whole Rick O'Sock business, it is all in fun--- or was meant to be. But it certainly did strike a nerve with the guy.
