I personally couldn't care less how many men a girl has been with. If you don't stay in relationships long, you could easily have been with 20 + men by the time you're 25 without ever having had a one night stand or a gang bang. I tend to trust women less easily who have behaved like "sluts" in the past in terms of relationships because it implies a certain level of impulsivity that not everyone can turn off.

Also, I'm a man and I get called a man whore quite often because I almost always have a new girl around even though I don't really pursue one night stands anymore. This issue isn't as one sided as it used to be.

Its simply a double standard that is as old as history. In Old Testament times, a girl who lost her viginity before marriage could be stoned to death... but no such standard applied to boys. We have "evolved" from tribal societies where roles were determined by the true dangers and rigors of life, and protecting and cherishing the safety of the child bearers was paramount to the survival of the tribe. But as a modern technological society, where men and women can compete equally in nearly every role.... those standards are no longer applicable, and women should be free to be as sexual as they desire.... its only the old and out of date prejudices that use the label "slut" and its about time it disappeared from use...
