  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Yes, Clinton signed it, but the Congress never approved it to the best of my knowledge.

As for moving the Afghan machinery to the Ukraine, Obama would move on the American people first and en mass with blood and fire, before he would move against his Russian idol.

    The Budapest Memorandum and Crimea

The "Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances" is a diplomatic memorandum that was signed in December 1994 by Ukraine, Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

It is not a formal treaty, but rather, a diplomatic document under which signatories made promises to each other as part of the denuclearization of former Soviet republics after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
    http://www.voanews.com/content/the-budapest-memorandum-and-crimea/1862439.html

Agreements like the Budapest Memorandum caused a local conflict in the Balkans to escalate into World War I.

The United States made a terrible mistake by humiliating Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union when Russia was to weak to do anything about it. Russia is not weak any more.

I do not want the United States to exacerbate that mistake by making additional mistakes that will cause a war with Russia. The Ukraine is part of Russia's traditional sphere of influence. Eastern Ukrainians are usually pro Russia. Please, let's stay out of this.

The Budapest Memorandum is not a treaty.

It also does not promise that the US or the UK would intervene in a war between Russia and the Ukraine.

What it did was to signify an agreement between the Ukraine, Russia, USA and the UK that none would move militarily or economically against the Ukraine. The Ukraine agreed to return all nuclear weapons to Russia for disposal under the NNT.

It established the sovereignty of territory and made it come under the Helsinki Final Act, which makes the invasion of any Ukraine territory by Russia, or the threat of such an invasion an illegal act under international law.

Edit: Sorry DL, I did not see your post on this.

If Ukraine seeks NATO assistance and grants permission to bring military forces into their country, NATO puts forces North of the Crimea to protect the rest of Ukraine. We also load up the Black sea with attack subs, and a US Navy Fleet.

We let Russia sweat in the Crimea. And let them make next move.

    re: Budapest Memorandum...

So, Clinton signed it. But the Gingrich senate did not ratify it. So we are not bound to it? Even though Ukraine sold off all its nukes to the country that is about to conquer it? Sold them off in good faith? Under the impression that Clinton was good for more than feeding his dick to interns?

Hmm. That argument will fly, in the court of world opinion, and if we use it, we will look even stronger....

One the most war-hawkish U.S. senators, a guy named Rogers, is quoted today in the WSJ as warning the Obama Administration NOT to send 6th fleet ships to the Black Sea. Don't send them unless we're prepared to use them, says Rogers.

And he is absolutely right. If we send the 6th Fleet into the Black Sea, Russia will treat it as a provocation and will start picking off Ukraine Navy targets just to call our bluff.

What will the United States do with its all-powerful navy when Russia starts sinking ships? Sit by and watch?

Gunboat diplomacy of that kind would just be another kind of "false red line," of the kind that Glorious Leader has been spouting for the past two weeks.

I'm not gonna start a new thread just for this question, so I'll put it here:

Who thinks John Theresa-Heinz-Forbes Kerry is going to bring back a good deal from Kiev? Who thinks that the Great Man of Naushon Island will bring us "peace in our time?"

I agree don't send one if you aren't prepared to use it. I'm suggesting you send one, and use it should Russia attack anything. If you send one as a bluff, and Russia calls you on it, that would be an unthinkable disaster. China would be invading those Japanese islands before the red rising sun hits the beaches the following morning. Meanwhile a cloud of Sarin gas would find its way across Syria and it will take more than some lamb's blood painted on people's doors for it to pass over them unharmed.

Are you being uncharacteristically dense for a reason?

It wasn't a treaty, it did not commit us to anything except that we would not attack the Ukraine, the Senate had no reason to ratify it.

It only serves a document that Russia recognized the territorial sovereignty of the Ukraine, it is the basis to prove that the invasion of Crimea is illegal.

    Call it what you want.

If Clinton had not signed it, whatever it is, Ukraine would still have a nuclear arsenal today, and these events would be playing out much differently. Now Ukraine has no defense against Russia, should Russia decide to invade. Europe and the U.S. have been the only deterrent.

I am not saying it obligates us. But it doesn't matter what I say. Perception is tantamount to reality, and the world is watching us do nothing.

Sort of like the way ole bush was blamed for 9/11? Despite the fact that al Qaeda first tried to take the towers down in 1993? Under wonderful Bill Clinton? Who had eight years to do something about it?

    Is that what you mean?

But for once I agree with you, Ridge. On another post you say the repubs knew about this for years. And you're right.

Palin knew, and she warned us that it would happen if we elected your nigger. (Don't get pissed. YOUR WORDS.)

Look at what she got for her trouble. Mockery. And we picked the hope and change dreamer and smilin' Joe Biden, the idiot, instead.

    Twice.

So, I'm just now getting around to reading today's New York Post. I have to say, that paper always has the wittiest story titles. For instance:

    :p

Yep. John Liveshot Kerry is going to Kiev tomorrow, to flaunt his botox for posterity and to hone his Neville Chamberlain routine.

He'll be lucky to come back alive.
