  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Sorry, no sale. Unless you name the hospital, so I can check it out, I find it hard to believe you.

This is something I am very close to, I volunteer at an advocacy agency, which handles complaints about indigent care. This is something that is taken very seriously by the hospitals, they stand to lose a ton of money, even accreditation if they do not comply.

If by a private hospital, you are talking about one which is exempt for the stated reasons, then it could be possible. But still highly unlikely.

I retired from the hospital. Don't know how many times it happens but it definitely happened at the hospital I worked at. The hospital I worked at had quite a few lawyers on the job and could do pretty much what they wanted to do. Not a single lawyer would take a case against them. If they wanted to not only would they loose but they would not have any clients in the future.
Most large hospitals can do what they want. Look at all of the mistakes made by hospitals. Very few ever go to court. The law and the courts are for sale. Hospitals make a lot of money and can buy and sell lawyers and judges. Most of the things a hospital does goes unnoticed.

JCAHO accreditation is paramount to most, if not all hospitals. You are wasting your breath TG, conspiracy theories and Chicken Little syndrome are not treatable at hospitals so many don't want to hear any valid point you may offer.

    Sorry, again no sale.

It does not matter how many lawyers you have, I've been in on those hearings before, the cases are very straight forward.

Medical errors are understandable, the practice of medicine is not perfect. Breaking the law is not as easy to explain.

Think about this for a minute.
If it wasn't done before why is there a law against it? If it was done before do you think they quit doing it completely?
Do you actually think there are laws are that everyone obeys?
You do realize there is a law against murder? How many times a year is that one broken?
I retired from a hospital. My sister was a nurse. Many people think they have a reason for a lawsuit against a hospital but cannot find a lawyer to handle it. I know of several personally. The cases you were in on may have been very straight forward. Do you think there might have been some that didn't make it that far?
If you do not know these things happen I find it hard to believe you were ever in on any hearings or even ever in a hospital.

The point is that there actually is a law, and that it is being enforced with regularity.

If there were no need of the law, it would still be a matter of conscience.

The mere fact that I have been in hearings is proof that it does happen, I never for one minute said that it did not. What I said was that the policing of the law is strict, and that it is not routinely violated, as you and another have alleged.

There are absolutely some that did not make it to hearing, the hospitals capitulated and paid the price.

The analogy of a felony law being broken, is at best ridiculous.

Now you are beginning to understand. The fact that you have been in hearings is proof that it does happen. That is what I have been trying to get you to understand from the start. It does happen. You or I do not know how common it is.

That was close to twenty years ago, i have no way to prove it. But fr what its worth i know what i heard and saw. But given the track record here, nothing is true without video evidence so fuck it i guess im a liar.

The organization that I volunteer at and several other like it, have representation at every hospital in the US. If someone can not find someone to take their complaint to, it is their own fault.

In the last ten years, I have made hundreds of visits to hospitals in Tennessee and Georgia, as an observer of emergency care compliance. Be it known, that I am a volunteer, I am not an attorney nor am I a medical professional, but I have been trained in investigating compliance.

Walking into an emergency room, it takes about ten minutes to see if they are in compliance with posting the information on patient rights under the EMTALA. If they are not, I ask for the administrator and advise he or she, that I will be required to make a report to my agency, who will follow up with legal measures if needed.

To date I have spoken with only a handful of administrators, damn near every hospital was in compliance.

Other investigators who are professionals, make unannounced calls on ER patients and medical staff.

Only you KNOW whether you are lying, the rest of us have to consider your credibility and our own experiences within the topic of discussion.

Twenty years ago, the law was in it's infancy, and very few advocates were looking for compliance.

Today, it is a different story, as it has been for at least 10 years.

My main beef with you is that your headlong obsession to discredit anything government clouds your vision.

Always have to resort to name calling when you can't back your claims as you scream that the sky is falling. Just once prove your claim...you can't; all you can do is start countless threads lamenting how everyone is out to fuck you and it never has anything to do with your own failures in life. Figure it out, you start thread, people post comments in reply. Not everyone is going to agree with you, most will try to give their reasons for their opinion. You just throw out claims and then get puffy in the chest when someone calls you on your bullshit. Make sure you and Peter keep an eye out for that wolf...we'd appreciate your warning of any danger.

I didn't say they did not post patients rights.
If a person died in transport to another hospital after being refused treatment it would be very hard for him to file a complaint.
You only see what the hospital wants you to see.
Just because there is a need for people like you should be proof that hospitals do not always obey the law.

A woman I date is the state inspector for dialysis. She inspects all dialysis machines in the state. She has been to court many times. Even she will tell you that dead people do not file complaints.
Your experience may be different but could you explain how it is possible for a dead person to file a complaint?

Dead people do not mysterious evaporate upon their demise, there is a ME, there is a attending physician, there is an EMT, anyone of which has to file a report. There is a corpse, there is also a family or friends, who become aware of the death. It is not that easy to sweep a death under the rug.

There is a huge difference between something happening on occasion and it happening as a routine.

    Don't be naive, I'm not.

It is very hard to believe a person who does what you claim you do then assures others that it does not happen. You even state you have been to hearings where this has happened but then say it does not happen.
Somehow the more you talk the less sense you make.
What exactly were you doing in hearings if it does not happen?

The hearings were for specific cases for patients who had filed a complaint, we as volunteers, are asked to attend them to learn more about the process.

The compliance inspections were apart from the hearings. If a hospital was charged on a compliance complaint, the professionals handle it, not the volunteers.

Again you have shown your lack of knowledge on the subject.
There does not necessarily have to be an attending physician.
There does not necessarily have to be a ME.
There does not necessarily have to be an EMT.
There does not necessarily have to be friends.
There does not necessarily have to be family.
Really, there does not necessarily mean there is a corpse, remember the man in the body bag waiting in the funeral home and fighting to get out of the body bag.

I can believe you were only a volunteer. You said the hearings were for specific cases for patients who filed a complaint. Again, dead people do not file complaints. Again there is not always a complaint filed.
It would be a very good idea to leave things to the professional.
    I was one.
