Trust me, one day it will be like lightening and you'll both be hit with THE PERFECT NAME and all will be settled. Until that time, try not to get too caught up in it. Pretty soon, the suggestions are gonna be "Biyatch" and "Facker" ... hahaha!!

Well even she hadn't already, Leila probably would have shot down Isabella Sky after she figured out I got it from one of the models in this month's Hustler Magazine. But it was a very pretty model so I figured it must be a very pretty name.

And I hate to say it ShakeZula, but I'm afraid you have, in my opinion, come up with some pretty good suggestions and reasons for your preferences. Except when it comes to the White Trash name rush. I think names for children actually follow rather predictable patterns that spreads across two or three generations until the cycle returns to the standard Dick and Jane names. But it is all started and propelled by one single factor; the desire to come up something different to name your kid.

Well, I'm nothing if not logical.

And we may have stumbled on a favorable name today. I had the computer at work and was prepping for one of my classes and picked up a wireless signal. One of my students came in and was looking over my shoulder while Leila and I were talking. I let her say hi, typing out one key at a time and she introduced herself with her English name, Kayla. I like the name and it turns out she liked the name, so it may be the one we've been looking for. We'll see.

Not at all, Z, we love the suggestions! That is really pretty, but with his L last name with the E sound at the end, I just dont think it would work.

 

Of course it's best for whatever you two like the sound of, but in my family there is in my own name:-----n N----, my sister,-----ne Ne----. Oi, (typo there I liked) guess maybe its what you are used to, or get used to, never really have those alliterations any thought, myself.
True, at first some people are confused and run my two names together. Then I was blessed with three (first or last) names, so I find that in some cases, any one of shown as my last name and the others are in scrambled order. That is a good situation to avoid, but alas, my father, me, my son all have the same names.

 

I remembered one today that I love: Abigail. Abbi. Abby.
