I think its weird and wrong, just my opinion.

 

Common aversion to incest most likely comes from high frequency of deformities in incest-produced children. This comes from the recessive genes which cause deformities if they are displayed, but are rare enough that they almost certainly will not be a problem for the child if parents are unrelated. If the parents are related then problematic recessive genes that run in the family are more likely to appear.

Of course, if you aren't having kids from this, it won't be a problem for you. This is just a possible explanation for the taboo.

It is wrong in the majority of people's minds. But, there are cases of it that I can understand that have been highly publicized. In those cases children were born and the male parent went to jail for a while. I don't encourage this type of a relationship, but if it happens between two people, who am I to judge them? I have read that it is more likely to happen between relatives that did not grow up together.

 

there were people other than Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created in Gods image and there were other lands other than Eden, that's where they went after they were banished from Eden after eating from the tree of knowledge.

I personally think the taboo is outdated. I agree it is wrong if the purpose is reproduction but now that so many contraception options exist I see no reason why there should be such an aversion to two consenting adults having a sexual relationship even if they are related.

It is THE most immature sexual attraction known to humans (though granted most on this forum aren't quite)....It is how little children put 1+1 together when hashing out emotional feelings of love and developing sexual urges.

Why it is so wrong and fucked up is that some adults who should know better still have such immature and cowardly (afraid to deal with new relationships) desires. They do so in that it is believed emotionally safe....Love is a given between family members. Cowardly in that they don't have the balls to develop new relationships outside of the family.

Worst of all, being immature and cowards they in most cases turn their attentions toward the most physically/mentally/and emotionally vulnerable of their family....The children.

So, instead of arguing points (in that most people once becoming adults grow out of such immature attractions)....They just say "no incest"....as 99.999% of the incest stories wherein both are adults when it starts are BS.
