I am not going to argue morality here. I think everyone on this site is immoral, and I include myself. I just admit it to myself and move on. So, in answer to the thread, I will say this: I am a straight guy (and I have serious doubts that anyone is "straight" who says, as many posters here have, that he has "always wanted" to do this). Straight guy, unless the definition has changed when I wasn't looking, means heterosexual. Heterosexual by definition precludes homosexuality (straights don't have gay sex or by definition they are not straight). Trans-genders are not women with cocks, and everyone on here knows it. They are MEN with breasts and makeup. Some of them are beautiful. But they are men.

Bonehead, the very definition of normal negates the idea that "what's normal for one person is not necessarily normal for another". That statement is just ludicrous. Normality is an average, and an average assumes a group, the person who doesn't fall within that average is not normal.

This is the point I was trying to make. You can't change the English language or ignore certain realities just because you don't like or agree with them. You have to accept the reality and learn to live within it. I don't advocate taking away anyone's rights. But you can't make the truth go away just by ignoring it or trying to shout it down.

Just what, exactly, is normal about a man trying to become a woman? And on that topic: not one of the pics on this thread is of a man who has actually become a woman. If they have simply been born in the wrong body, as they claim and one poster here has agreed with, THEN WHY THE HELL DO THEY STILL HAVE DICKS? They can be and do whatever they want to do. If you look at history you will discover that "societal norms" have changed over time, even recently there have been changes in what is "normal" or "natural". In our not too distant history any homosexual would have been put to death. A woman, even a wife, who provides oral satisfaction could be put in prison and there was no such thing as the privacy of the bedroom. In 1960 a black man who approached a white wouman could easily find himself seperated from his manly tool. In 1970 you could have been jailed in most states if photos or movies of people having sex were found on your person. In 1965 very few police departments would arrest someone for beating a homosexual to death. Norms change. While we have not moved to a point that it is normal for a man to have tits installed it has become socially acceptable to a great degree so norms may be determined by society, they are always in flux.

I agree that "societal norms" change over time. However, that is a specific sociological term which, although very close, does not exactly mean "normal". Some of the examples you have cited are legal qualifications which may or may not reflect general opinion at the time.

But I do agree that what is ACCEPTED in society has changed over time. However, sexual relations between male and female have been and still are considered the norm. There is a huge difference between what is accepted and what is the norm.

Also, I want to make it perfectly clear that I completely accept homosexuals and transgenders. I just think that we do them a huge disservice by pretending that they fall within the "norm". I would never advocate that they not be extended the same rights and freedoms as every other human being. I just think it harms society (slightly) in general and transgenders (hugely) in particular to claim that they are female when they are male. Again, I think that the proof that they do not actually want to be female can be seen in the fact that the overwhelming majority of them still have penises. I understand the cost may be prohibitive (due in large part to the EXTENSIVE psychological treatment required before the operation will be approved by most surgeons -- which I believe argues my case that it is deeply ingrained in their psyche that this is not "normal") but if they truly desire to be female why do they so proudly flaunt the one hugely male trait left to them (I know not all of them do, but a very large percentage are in porn or the sex trade)? In fact, they like to describe themselves as "fully functional" NOT in reference to their feminity, but rather their maleness -- which most of them claim to despise.

I say: Help them to accept themselves for what they are. There are many ways in which I do not fall within societal norms. I don't try to change the norms. I simply accept that I am not "normal" in those areas. THAT is the mentally healthy approach to the situation.
