Sarah Palin: Waterboarding is how I'd 'baptize terrorists' as president



Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) was once, as her party's vice presidential nominee, close to being a heartbeat away from the presidency. And over the weekend, she gave a little glimpse of what a Palin presidency would look like.

Speaking at a National Rifle Association rally Saturday, Palin talked of how she would "put the fear of God in our enemies" as president by ensuring everyone knew that "waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists."

The United Nations, the ACLU, and just about every other authority on the matter considers waterboarding to be a form of torture. That said, Palin is unlikely to ever run for president, so her proposed national security policy should remain nothing more than a rhetorical flourish.

If I were you guys, instead talking about the "almost was", "and can't be for at least two years" heartbeat, I’d be wondering what things would look like with the CURRENT "one heartbeat away", the White House version of "$#*! My Dad Says", Joe "Put y'all back in chains" Biden, if he had to step in. Even when Obama manages to keep him out of sight for those "sensitive" issues ("Look, Joe! New coloring books!"), it's usually not long before Obama feels his sphincter clench once Joe finds himself on a stage with the jaws set to "Entertainment Mode". Now, imagine THAT heartbeat with the added pressure of actually being relevant.

As for the waterboarding threats,who knows? It's obvious nobody fears President "You better not. Don't make me tell you a 5th time." Hell, you guys think she's a crazy fucker. Maybe those crazy fuckers might think so, too. Again, why bother with the threats she's in no position to follow thru on NOW, as opposed to the dozen or so that were issued by someone who could follow thru, but didn't....hasn't...and most likely won't?

Then again, why else would people be talking about Palin, except for the fact that it keeps the yappers from seeing what will go on in the next 6 months trying to make sure the only way Harry gives up that rostrum, is when we pry it from his cold, dead hands!
