  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The US is still a land of opportunity, though they are in different places, thus it may take different paths to find and exploit them.

The government does not intentionally erect roadblocks to success, just think how bad it would be if they did. One can make just as much money staying below the governments limits on "big" business, by keeping several "small" businesses, all while enjoying the fruits that this country has in abundance.

Large corporations do not thrive in times of high regulation, they are usually very capital intensive, with investments in brick and mortar that take many years to amortize, they do not turn on a dime. So right now those "big" guys are looking where the best place is to sow the capital and those places are where they can see the best return on investment, today and in the future.

Individuals leaving the country are a different matter altogether, one, their impact on the economy of the US is negligible, and two, they are not negatively impacting our society either, there are way to few of them to matter. Most of those with means, are already invested elsewhere and those with few means aren't invested at all.

If that is the case then,,this country should not allow any more immigrants in for legal status, if there are no negative impacts to this nation for those individuals leaving this country, then the opposite should be equally true,, there should be no positive impact for this nation for those that migrate in for legal status, or am I totally of the reservation for thinking that way?

I'm not exactly sure how you are thinking with that post.

Should people who immigrate to the US not be required to contribute to the common pot?? Who has suggested that?? The vast majority of those people who have come into this country, legally or illegally, are here for the sole reason to better their lives and those of their loved ones. We have pretty strict laws regarding employment, those who pay wages are required by law, to keep employment records including SS numbers on each employee or entity that earns more than $600/year. If you pay weekly/hourly or salary wages, you must collect FICA/FUTA and other federal, state and local income related taxes and report the collections to the government. The only way that someone can make money without the government involvement is by working "under the table", there are bery few businesses who will do this today, it is mostly individuals who are are doing it. Anyone who pays more than $600 to any individual for services, is required to submit a 1099 at the end of the tax year.

While the practice is widespread, the number of people who are subverting the law is actually shrinking.

So, most of the free-loading illegals that are talked about in here, are not actually free-loaders. They pay more taxes than most of our legals do. Why? Because they have taxes taken out of their pay, but rarely, if ever, file a return. No deductions, no head of household exemptions, just straight up abandonment of their contributions.

    Your answer is not what I am looking for,, you said;

    Then I asked you;

In short, you claim that there are no negative impacts to this country if an individual leaves this county, due to the policies, which is what this thread is about, and I do disagree with your opinion on that, equally, along those lines of your thoughts, there are no positive impacts if an individual that migrates into this country, acquiring a legal status.

I'm not sure whether he's referring to making physical money (ie. currency), which the Government does, or creating wealth, which it does not.

You have not asked a question, but you did make a few statements.

First I did not say that there were no impacts on the economy, I said there were negligible impacts. Secondly, the thread IS about ex-pats and their impact, which is exactly what I was posting about.

You introduced the statement/question: "If that is the case then,,this country should not allow any more immigrants in for legal status, if there are no negative impacts to this nation for those individuals leaving this country, then the opposite should be equally true,, there should be no positive impact for this nation for those that migrate in for legal status, or am I totally of the reservation for thinking that way?"

Are you off the reservation? Yes, by a very long distance.

First, there are fewer than 10,000 individuals who are now US ex-patriots (those who have renounced their citizenship, which is the only way they can avoid paying US taxes), but there are over 7,000,000 illegal immigrants in the US (essentially ex-pats of their country), the difference is huge, almost incalculable.

Many countries do not allow foreigners to settle unless they can prove to have a certain amount of assets (quarter of a million, half a million, a million, etc.). Others do not allow ex-patriots to take $ out of the country.

    The U.S. is retarded.

We allow fuckers to make money here and then take it and spend it elsewhere, contributing NOTHING to the country and draining the economy. They are as bad or worse than welfare recipients because they HAVE the brains and ability to make $, but show no loyalty to the country that allowed them to become wealthy.

They are nothing but leeches and scum.

    Tenguy, I agree---to a point.

There MUST be something done about illegal immigration. Certainly, the United States was built by immigrants, but prior to World War II, the vast majority of immigrants who came were the most vital people from their own homelands who came to the United States to BUILD something; to MAKE something out of themselves; to progress through their own efforts because of the opportunities that the U.S. provided.

We still have many immigrants that fit that pattern, but the majority who come today are just looking for a handout.

Now, you know that I believe that we need a social welfare system in this country to take care of people who fall through the cracks. Those with lesser abilities (and, OK, less ambition) who have a very difficult time finding or keeping jobs in an era when corporations are intentionally refusing to create jobs here, but rather sending them overseas. This ALONE makes the U.S. much less of a 'land of opportunity' than a welfare state.

NO ONE who is not a native-born American OR a naturalized CITIZEN should be eligible for any kind of welfare or food stamps, public assistance or whatever. PERIOD. If one is found to have been obtaining such assistance illegally, they should be immediately deported. PERIOD.

We have a problem with deportees returning. If one is found to have re-entered the country, if they are an adult, they should be sent to prison, on bread and water rations and at hard labor for a year and then deported again. Children should be deported if they are found to have relatives back in their home country. If not, they should be put in orphan asylums and have a chance for adoption and raised American (no bi-lingual shit).

If a deportee is discovered entering the country a third time, they should be executed. PERIOD.

Any immigrant that enters the country, legally or illegally, if they have a job, employers must make sure they are paying taxes or severe penalties should be levied against those employers. Immigrants should have to attend mandatory classes in English and citizenship and work toward being U.S. citizens. If they are discovered to NOT be attending such classes and working toward citizenship, they should be given a warning and one more chance. If they still do not conform, job or no job, they should be deported.

Immigrants in the past came here to be AMERICANS, not turn the United States into their own home country. If that is what they want, we should send them fucking home.

Finally, 10,000 multi-millionaire ex-patriots DO drain the economy more than 7,000,000 illegal immigrants because they are not only draining the U.S. of more wealth (probably by a factor of 10 or more), but they are also draining the country of talent and expertise.

We cannot stop a person from leaving the country and taking their talent and expertise elsewhere, but we CAN say: You made your money here, you can leave most of your money here. If you had the ability to make millions IN the U.S., we wish you luck making new millions elsewhere using your talent and expertise. You can take 10% of your assets with you as a stake.

Finally, off-shore accounts: Any U.S. citizen found using off-shore accounts to hide money? Forget about the money. It would be too much of an international hassle to get it back. Just put the person in solitary confinement for life on a ration of bread and water with no medical treatment available. Let them rot and know that someone else in some foreign government will eventually take their money and laugh at them.

Ah, so the FDIC doesn't insure the banks? The government is what gives the money it's value. If our government were to cease to exist, our money would be worthless. No one would accept payment from us because the government isn't there to back up the value of our money.

And I didn't use the term "make" in the same way as you would "make" money.

Yes I did ask you a question, and yes I did use the term 'negative' rather than the term 'negligible', that's my bad. It's that comprehension thing.

SO,, it is not negligible when citizens leave this country due to the ongoing policies, to think otherwise is utter insanity.

Most will not leave due to their 'roots', all that have left, have left for a very distinct reason, that is a very important concept.

As well, is another very important concept those that migrate here tend to leave an go back to their home country, for more reasons than I care to prove to you.

AND,, to claim the 7million + ''illegal immigrants'' are 'ex-pats' of 'their' country,, is nonsense, they have no allegiance to this country, hence, ''ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS''

You still have not answer my question.

Thanks for backing up what I said. Nothing you said refutes anything I said. This services they paid their taxes on are the services the government (local, state, or fed) provides, and that is why they didn't build their business solely by themselves.

At on time being a citizen of the U.S. meant something. Today it means something completely different.
At one time a citizen of this country was free to move about across their own country and free to go to other countries. That was real freedom.
At one time if a person worked hard they could live a good life and prosper. That was real freedom.
At one time a person was not required to buy something just because others chose not to buy the same product. That was freedom.
At one time people were free to do what they wanted with the money they worked for. That was freedom.
That time has passed. That freedom has been removed and replaced with threats of prison and loss of belongings.

Today being a citizen means something completely different.
Now a citizen is not free to get on a plane without being searched like a criminal. They can only hope they have not been put on a no fly list. Freedom lost.
Now a citizen is forced to give larger amounts of their hard earned pay to those who do not work. Freedom lost.
Now a person is forced to buy certain products from businesses that they do not want or need. Freedom lost.
Now any person found with a large amount of money on their person takes the chance of losing that money just because it is a large amount. Freedom lost.

Now those people who do not work are coming closer to outnumbering those who do work and thereby controlling the ballot. The first thing these non workers want is a larger cut of the pay from those who do work. Now we don't only have taxes to worry about but added to these are permits, licenses, and legal bribes Now we have politicians that go into office broke and come out millionaires. Now we are having our country over run by illegals that we cannot return to their country. We will be forced to take care of these illegals.

The U.S. is quickly coming to an end. It may remain the U.S. but it will no longer be a free country. We have already dropped behind in our education, wealth, economy, and freedoms. Even though we may still call it the U.S. it will be a completely different country.
Who could blame those with the ability to leave for choosing another country that is on the way up instead of the way down?
That was the way this country was formed. When we decided to change that we began our change to another country.

The case I was making was against piling a federal income tax on top of all the other taxes businesses already pay. That money just gets sucked away from the locality where it's generated, to DC where it passes thru many hands of bureaucracy (each of those hands having a cost of their own), then gets sliced, diced, chopped, pureed, and spit out for such stupid shit like shrimp on a treadmill or National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Nevada (Thank you, Harry Reid.)

If you're really determined to pay higher prices for goods and services by insisting on higher taxes for businesses, fine, whack 'em at the state and local level where you can (hopefully) have a better chance of seeing how it gets spent. The federal government already gets enough money to waste from other taxes and fees.
